TRUTH, LIES, DECEPTION AND POLITICS IN ANIMAL CRUELTY CASES

Photographic Evidence of the Fraud, Deceit and Cover Up in My Conviction of Animal Cruelty in February 2010 in Stevens County District Court in Stevens County, Washington. Judge Lynda Eaton was the Trial Judge. Testifying in This Case, Were the Government's Witnesses, Spokanimal C.A.R.E., and the Impounding Agent Assisting Stevens County in the Raid. I Spent some 238 Days in the County Jail For Animal Cruelty for My Own Dogs Engaging in Dog on Dog Conduct on My Own Fenced Property While I was At Work, and for Being Underfed. I Lost My Home, Farming Operation, Livestock, Companion Dogs, Dogs I Had Already Rescued, and Incurred a $32,000 Fine for an Impound Bill to Spokanimal C.A.R.E. This Raid and Seizure Should Never Have Happened. This Case Ended Up Being Part of the Dialogue During a Re-Election Campaign. The Appeals Court Finally Released Me.

I Never Saw My Puppies Again After My Trial, as I Was Immediately Jailed So I Could Not Even Say Farewell to them. FIGHT THE CRUELTY TO PET OWNERS AND THEIR PETS

While Animal Cruelty is a Noble Cause, Please Help Stop the Abuse to Pet Owners and Their Pets Through Arbitrary Enforcement of Animal Cruelty Laws, and to Limit the Power of State and Local Governments and Animal Rights Groups to the Taking of Sentient Property in Pets via the Acts of Forfeiture Built into These Laws. Animal Cruelty Laws Must be Changed to Make it Mandatory Prior to Seizure that a Licensed Veterinarian Decide Whether Seizure or Euthanasia is Necessary or Warranted. As can be Seen in the Photo Collage That Follows, Discretionary Decisions Cannot be Left to the Discretion of Law Enforcement Officials Such as Detective James Glover Shown Here or the Mercy of Prosecuting Officials who May Make Overzealous, Arbitrary and Capricious Decisions for Any Number of Reasons. These Reasons May Have Little to do With the Animals. Discretion Cannot be Left to Animal Care and Control Employees Who Work in Tandem for Their Organizations With the Media to Generate Donations or Profit. Animal Cruelty Laws Can Turn Lives Upside Down for Persons Who Cannot Afford $200-300 an Hour Fees to Fight Government. Takings Decisions Cannot be Left to Those Who Then May Claim Immunity From Prosecution as a Government Official or Agent. Taking Someone's Pet is Like Taking a Child for Some - a Part of the Family. The Sense of Grief, Financial and Emotional Loss can Be Debilitating. Being Jailed, Let Alone for 238 days When One Has No Prior Criminal History, is Incomprehensible Unless You Have Survived It.

There Must be Accountability for Life and Death Decisions Concerning our Pets, and There is None Really. EULOGY TO THE DOG

GENTLEMEN OF THE JURY: The best friend a man has in this world may turn against him and become his enemy. His son and daughter that he had reared with loving care may become ungrateful. Those who are nearest and dearest to us, those whom we trust with our happiness and our good name, may become traitors to their faith. The money that a man has he may lose. It flies away from him when he may need it most. Man's reputation may be sacrificed in a moment of ill considered action. The people who are prone to fall on their knees and do us honor when success is with us may be the first to throw the stone of malice when failure settles its cloud upon our head. The only absolutely unselfish friend a man may have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog. A man's dog stands by him in prosperity and poverty, in health and sickness. I Certify and Swear That the Following is True & Correct to the Best of My Information and Belief. The Following are Photos Taken by an Unbiased Photographer on the Day of the 10/2008 Animal Cruelty Raid on My Home, and the Day After, by the Stevens County Sheriff's Office in Stevens County, Washington, and Seizure of My Dogs, Resulting in a Some $30,000 Impound Bill. (No Matter That I Already Had a Licensed Animal Haven and Ranch). Animal Cruelty Charges were Filed. The Seizure of All of My Dogs by the Stevens County Sheriff in Washington State was Premised on Taking Them for Feeding and Care and for Their Well-Being. Neighbors Sporting Video Cameras and Other Equipment Filmed the Dogs Over the Fence Wherein They Began to Fight Among Themselves on My Owned Fenced Farm Land in a Rural Remote Area. I was Working and Do Not Know What (or Who) May Have Provoked the Dogs. I Had immediately Prior Been in a 3-Year Unresolved Battle with the Neighbors Over Boundary Disputes, Water Rights, and Nuisance Dumping of Large Amounts of Debris on My Property Line Which Included TROs. I Also Had Just Published a Web Article on Due Process Violations in Stevens County. The Dogs Were Alleged at the Trial to Be Underfed, Neglected Dogs, Confined in an Unsafe Manner on My Fenced Farmland. They were Either Converted to Their Own Use by Spokanimal C.A.R.E. or .Destroyed by Stevens County in 2008 & 2010

As a Result of Overworked Public Defenders, Fraud, Deceit, Videotape Splicing & Deletions, and Other Trial Misconduct, I Spent Some 238 Days in County Jail on Misdemeanors in 2010 Until a Reversal by the Appellate Court and My Release. I Have Been a Legal Professional for 40 Years. If This Can Happen to Me, it Can Happen to Anyone With Multiple Dogs. As a Result of Animal Cruelty Laws & This Raid, My Home & Farm is in Foreclosure. All Dogs Were First Taken in the 2008 Raid & Then Were Ordered Forfeited Again After the Trial in Feb. 2010 to the Stevens County Sheriff Because the Prosecutor Didn't Tell the Judge He Had Already Given My Dogs Back to Me. All Dogs Including Long-Time House Dogs, Disabled Dogs & Companions. Incredibly, My Commercial Livestock & My Sport Horse Were Ordered Forfeited by Judge Lynda Eaton of the Stevens County District Court, an Inferior Tribunal in Stevens County, Washington. The Appellate Court Remanded the Issue of the Forfeiture of the Animals Back to Judge Lynda Eaton as Wrongful, if No Hold Was on the Animals by the Sheriff. There was Not. However, My Pets & Livestock are Long Gone. Stevens County Officials Had Executed an Unconditional Contract with Me in '08 for the Dogs' Release Back to My Custody After They Spent 84 Days in a City Animal Shelter
