I am not sure what her blood iron level is, but she may be losing some blood by way of the ulcers, so a product such as MultiTech could be used to help replenish her iron level. The extent of absorption of macroand micronutrients is probably limited by the inflammation of the intestine and ulceration, so MultiTech could provide a good delivery system for getting extra mcronutrients to her intestinal epithelium for absorption. The co-enzyme Q10 in Isochrome has been reported to be beneficial for the repair of stomach ulcers---I don't know whether that effect would transfer to intestinal ulcers. Evidently, she had the lower foot of small intestine removed which is the primary site of vitamin B12::Intrinsic Factor complex absorption. Finally in 2002 I made the decision to go to Mayo Clinic and see some of the best specialists in the world that deal with this disease. By that time my veins blew every time they took blood or tried to run a test. The steroids had constricted my veins so bad they were not functioning well anymore. It was decided that I needed surgery to buy me some time until new drugs would hit the market because I had exhausted all choices that were available to date. Two weeks before Thanksgiving I underwent 6 centimeters of my small bowel being removed. It was the worst recovery and surgery that I had ever been through.
