Temperature and humidity ranges are taken daily at 10pm (BST) , with recording starting at 10pm (BST) the
day before.
Rainfall readings are as of 10pm (BST) each day, but may be recorded earlier if evaporation is likely to occur.

Summary
The month can be typified by dull, overcast days with infrequent light showers; shown by a very low standard
deviation of daily maxima at 1.5C. In total it was a very dry month, only accumulating to 24.3 mm, spread out over
10 days having over 1mm. The 30 May recorded the most daily rainfall at 5.8mm, an accumulation of overnight
rainfall (4.3mm) and an evening shower (1.5mm). Average maximum and minimum temperatures were only slightly
above average (16.2C and 8.5C respectively). A high of 20.1C was recorded on 6 May and a low of 4.2C on 25
May. A breezy start to the month with a peak gust of 17 mph (upper limit of force 4 - moderate breeze) overnight on
the 3 May, but becoming much more settled across the rest of the month, where average wind speeds rarely
exceeded 4 mph. Pressure was predominately high, peaking three times at around 1030 hPa on the 15, 24 (1031 hPa
in the evening) and 31 of May. A low of 1004 was recorded at around midnight on the 7/8 May.
