The GOD Within

I believe the journey of every soul is in the search of God. Its like a river searching its way through the mountains, through the plains and ultimately going and merging with the wide sea. At each blockade in its path, it creates a new path, changing course and doing whatever it can to reach its goal. On its way, giving life to various others creatures living in it or surviving on its contents. The world that is, the various intricate phenomena, explained and the unexplained, awe-inspiring, wondrous yet beautiful in their way. Each perfectly balancing the Nature. We simply end up using the resources offered by nature, never once stopping to think where all this came from, how does it sustain itself? There is a Great Play writer at play here. He has written the scene for everything, each role defined to perfection. If he decided that animals are going to use up the oxygen of the air and give out carbon-dioxide, then he made sure there were plants that used that carbon-dioxide to regenerate the oxygen thus ensuring the balance remains. If He decided that one breed of living creatures is going to be the bottom of the food chain then he made sure that they multiply fast and abundantly, seeing to it that they never become extinct. Even wondered why the animals at the top of the food chain multiply in lesser numbers when compared to the animals at the lower end of the food chain? Each animal, being on this planet has an uncanny understanding with nature, ensuring they stick to the unspoken laws of the Nature. It is only us humans who tend to forget the basics as we are so caught up in our knowledge of things that what we dont know is never considered. Each person is driven is by his zeal to excel in life, attain the maximum and the most out of life. We have gotten so involved in our materialistic ways that instead of playing our role, we have started to think we are running the show. I am not saying we have written off God, If we would have done that then at least 90% of the problems of the world would have been solved as there would be no more fights over religious issues. We have not yet been able to understand the concept of God, if God can be termed a concept. But with the way human minds think, God will surely become a concept soon. Everyone agrees that in the end all that matters is God, and that ultimately our lives do end there. But where are we looking for God? In Holy books? In temples, mosques or churches? Places and things built by none but us humans? Have we ever thought of looking for God within? If God can exist in every magnificent creation of his then why not in us too? If God be the ultimate destination of lifes journey and everything else being the path to it, then why are we so caught up in the journey rather than concentrating on the destination? Has the

path become more important than the destination? I feel that the destination becomes inconsequential when the path to it overshadows the aim of the journey. I believe that God created everything in balance, if he took from one; he made sure he gave it back in some way, and Im not just referring to humans but to the entire universe. He has always made sure that there is bi-polarity in everything. Anything uni-polar is unnatural. If there was north then there is south to balance it. If there is east then there is west for that. And most importantly if there is good then there is definitely evil too. Good and evil cannot do without each other. They both thrive on each other. The existence of one without the other is the most unnatural of all things, and God made sure they remain forever in universe. Every religion says there is an anti-God that is always at work. In different tongues he has different names; some call his Satan, some Shaitan and some Rakshas. Bottom-line being everyone agrees to its existence. God being the most powerful, couldnt He have just done away with this evil if he wished to? Does God need help from anyone to overcome his adversary? I dont think so. He made sure there is bi-polarity in his existence as well, a balancing factor even to his own existence for us humans. The reason I said good and evil are surviving on each other is because they have a co-existent nature. They survive because of each other. Theirs is a comparative existence. One cannot survive without the other. We say something is good only because we can compare it to something which is bad. Good is good only because there is bad in the world and if there was no bad then good would never be good enough. Same thought process was there when God made sure there was a balancing factor His being. We revere God because we fear the Evil. But, did God ask us to fear and obey him? I dont think he ever meant that to be. As there is God within us so is there evil within us. And instead on searching for God outside to overcome the evil within, why dont we search for God within to overcome the evil outside in the world? Everyone is right when they say there is a fight going on between good and evil. The difference being people see that fight outside while I see that fight within me; day in and day out. Every decision that I make is a battle between good and evil. The human mind is the battlefield for this epic and never ending war. Each mind and every decision of that mind is a new battle. It doesnt make a difference to God or Evil who wins as both are assured neither loses. If the evil could be vanquished then God would not be what He means to us. But the battles and war do decide what kind of person you become. Every decision made is a victory of that battle, and the result is what is known as conscience. It is the conscience that tells you who won, it is you who has to take sides in this battle. Contrary to belief where people say that evil entices you to join forces with him, I believe that the decision is purely yours to choose your side. If your conscience pricks after a decision then you know that you

made a wrong choice of a battle partner. As I said, it doesnt make a difference to either warring parties what you do as they will always have a different battlefield to fight it out at. But what about the battle field where an earlier battle took place? Was it left in tatters and empty like the desert or was it left fertile and life giving like the oasis.
