Use of Light and Nature Scenery in healthcare environment.

Majority of life on earth depends on light from the almighty Sun. Our life depends upon Sunlight. Direct or indirect, sunlight influences our behaviour, our mood, the food we eat, the home/office environment where we live and work. Light is part of us since birth till death. Sunlight is dynamic and daylight is never constant. Colour of sky changes every passing moment, it may be red in the morning or evening. Unbearable bright in afternoon, yet, at same time, pleasant in shed under tree. Iluminance level changes from 5000 lux to 100,000 lux depending on time of day, season and weather conditions. Influenced by Sun, our Nature changes more dynamically with seasons. Look around during Summer, Monsoon, post Monsoon, Winter & Fall. Look around, appreciate and you will realize how much essential the Sun, the Sunlight and the Nature is to our lives. It is the Light and Nature that we are deprived-of when we fall sick and confined to small places we call Hospitals. It is our aim to bring the healing power of Light and Nature to the patients and use it to comfort them and speed-up their recovery.

Mural What is it made of ?

A Mural installation consists of ; 1. A carefully, planned, dimensioned (proportioned) light-box. Light box is either Wall Mounted or Ceiling Mounted. 2. Type of light (Colour Temperature Warm White, Neutral White, Natural White ), intensity and illumination 3. Selection of type of illumination. a. Back-Lit - Prints on Transparency media b. Front-Lit Photo print on white opaque media c. Back/Front Lit : Print on Translucent Media 4. Theme : Sky, Trees, Beaches, Clouds, Mountain, Nature in its glory in various seasons.

1. Light Box : Light Box consists of a metal/acrylic frame housing light elements. We at

emergent , use White-Light LED as light

2. Power Supply : The SMPS type power supply powers the LightBoxes. The power supply either resides on top of the light box or it is hidden away in another room or control room adjacent to the installation. Typical power supply is shown below.

3. Picture Frame ( Motif ) : This consists of a sandwiched picture. The front being Transparent and back being Opaque. There are various choices and themes the customers can select. Few selections are given below.

There are thousands of choices and being so, normally the customer provides the pictures.

Hardware required for the project, namely LightBoxes, Metal work and Power Supply are manufactured in India by mergent and hence we will offer best price to products that we manufacture. We use electronic components and light sources ( WLEDs ) from worlds best manufacturers from Japan, Taiwan and USA Please note that the pictures available in public domain and for this purpose are high resolution, copy-righted and need to be purchased from the respective artists and photographers world-vide. The customer can provide his choice of pictures which we can print on the applicable printing media.

Emergent will offer a set of pictures that customers can choose from.
Who does the installation?
The installation can be done by the hospitals facility contractor. We will provide necessary drawings.

Emergent can take up the installation, if required at small additional cost.
