A study was done recently on the top 10 ministries in the world and what was found is that to get to the head of all of them you had to go through at least 10 people, from secretaries, assistants, deacons and whatever else, just to get a simple answer from the top person. This level of bureaucracy might be useful in politic but in the kingdom of God it does nothing but slow down progress. Which brings me to the next instalment of this series on entertainment industry truths. Being hard to contact and not returning calls and emails promptly will do nothing but kill everything youre working so hard to build. In any new prospective connections all it does is sow seeds that youre disorganised. It does NOT, for one second, project the idea that youre busy with something important - this is one of the biggest myths people carry. The ability to balance working relationships and different areas of your career and life are essential in your success, hence the reason for managers! Only get a manager if you yourself arent able to manage your own diary and cant open doors for yourself in the different avenues of media and consistently push on your campaign.

Simplify everything about you...

Dont complicate anything, I know of mainstream celebs that have been blackballed because of complication!

I once had a project in which I was going to include some of the biggest names in UK street music and my contact just said to me, forget about so and so, hes long and this was someone they could call a friend, someone who was there from the beginning and continually supported the individual... Who is saying that about YOU? Up to this day I will never work with this person! Period! Even though he has had top 10 national chart singles, because I dont need the headache. Being hard to get hold of or having a million terms and conditions will never make you look important! You will be surprised as to how many celebs will talk over ideas directly with people with no chasing what so ever, some have even given me direct mobile numbers to keep things as simple as possible. Others make sure they respond to any email withing 24 hours - even if they simply say, got your email, will get back to you tomorrow. Keep lines of communications flowing, if you have made a new link and there are delays in whatever you discussed you are going to do, keep talking to them, even if you have nothing to say, use it as an opportunity to find out how their business works and how they build their careers - build relationships. Stay open about why the delay is happening. Look at it this way; I would wait for someone for 15 mins if they were late and hadnt told me but I would wait 30 mins ONLY if someone contacted me to tell me they were delayed. Dont let silence steal your opportunities. It only takes a phone call, text, email, BB, smoke signal... What ever it takes get your message across and give honest and very clear time lines (or reasons why time lines are in flux) do it - Even if you have to get someone to call on your behalf, forget pretending to be over successful, its a waste of time that will back fire on you! If ANY media bodies pursue you for a feature... DEAL WITH THEM ASAP AND GIVE THEM WHAT THEY NEED INSTANTLY!!! - This one I will get very personal on! So often I have to contact artists and ask for material (press releases, album/single samples, pics, etc) and half of them take so long to get back to me I have to leave them out for the sake of my deadlines! And because we run specific themes at Bethel magazine, there is a high likelihood we cant them just feature you in the next issue cos your piece is no longer valid or fitting! And this isnt the case just with Bethel magazine, every site, magazine, news feature outlet has a reason for wanting your material at THAT SPECIFIC TIME! Regardless of publications; Christian or non-Christian, utilise EVERY media possibility... Car mags, fishing mags, hair and make up mags, not utilising EVERY media avenue is failure to fulfil your mandate as a Christian to take the Gospel to all ends of the earth! - When God says to you I sent a journalist from FHM magazine and NUTS magazine to you for you to reach people who dont read Christian magazines, why didnt you send them your track and press release? What will you say ;but God they show naked pictures in those mags NONSENSE! God didnt tell you to look at the mag, just give them what they need to write the feature... And quickly! These are the people you need to reach, Jesus often went to places that the Pharasees and Saducees deemed unholy and spoke to tax collectors, Jesus had an ex-tax collector in his inner circle! Dont be afraid to enter these places just dont let them influence you, influence them... Its your rightful place as a Christian to be the INFLUENCER!

MIGHTY CHRISTIANS
We as Christian, either through fearful preachings from Pastors who are afraid of the world themselves or through some subliminal work of the enemy have embraced the nonsensical mindset of fear when it comes to the world. We just shake when we have to challenge particular mindsets of the world when they completely contradict the word of God. Especially when it comes to marriage and sex more prominently to do with promiscuity and sexuality. Also when it comes to money, family structure and roles men and women play in life and in the home. Even what happens in law and justice, medicine (euthanasia and abortion) and entertainment (nudity, homosexuality and unwholesome and ungodly material)! The world has entered a place where 'anything goes' - we're in a place where two people in the world will disagree about a certain lifestyle BUT still accept it and say 'to each his own and Its OK' - there is fast becoming no moral plumb line. The world is dragging everyone along with that evil sentiment called 'the norm' and Christians are getting sucked in and sitting there on the side line waiting for God to do something when God is waiting for you AND me AND has commanded YOU and ME to do something!

We are Children of God, we are called a 'peculiar nation' for a reason, we are built for a holy purpose.
We have seen the world's system as the 'majority' and have become afraid to challenge it. Forgetting that with God on our side WE ARE THE MAJORITY. We have forgotten that we, as a nation of God's people, are to be respected and revered, we are to be consulted when it comes to national and international law, moral and medical decisions. We are to be sought after advisors to Kings! All over the Bible we know of Kings seeking the wisdom of men of God either before or concerning an act of war or in making judgements and law writing - Has God changed in this department? NO. In the book of Esther the King even sought good counsel from wise men regarding a domestic issue with the Queen! The mindset we carry about ourselves sets the pace for the mindset others have about us, how we see, love, respect and esteem ourselves tells unsaved people how to respect and esteem us.

If we want influence we need to embrace our mantle... As world changers, as mighty men and women of valour,
WE should have the top movies and TV shows, We should be the chart toppers, - have you noticed that the music industry has become stagnant? No one knows what to do next musically, what to sing about, what to rap about or what style of music to even produced. We have hiphop acts are now doing electro-house, grime acts are doing pop tracks, rappers are becoming singers - God bless Autotune - the world is lost but its pretending to have the master plan! We as Christians need to return to how we were first made and perceived by God Himself! We need to return to our place of authority, its called DOMINION! This is how we should be known to the world: Christians are people not to messed with! We are wise and we are marvellously helped by God, we are blessed and have a constant favour shield, whatever we lay our hands to do shall always prosper, whoever comes against us shall meet God Himself in battle! And in His word He promises to Avenge the righteous. No weapon formed against us shall prosper, we are people of might authority in the Earth, we prosper in famine and our lifestyles are healthy, our families over flow with happiness and joy, we have shalom shalom [nothing missing and nothing broken] we are a chosen nation and have the constant blessing of increase. We are people of destiny and purpose and have the answers the world are looking for! I should be referring to a ton of scriptures but part of the weakness in the Christian nation is the reluctance to read their Word AND seek the revelation in it (this is the easiest part of the Kingdom of God... Reading!), instead we want to debate on 'what THEIR church stands for!' or What THEIR Pastor teaches concerning certain scripture - the universe is bigger than your church and the world is in need of YOU getting your act together, you must kick into gear get your finger out and seek God to fulfil your mandate! See 'Genesis' and 'Judges' for details... Furthermore seek the whole word of God for details! The world needs you! You have a role to play!

Serving up bars!!! This is the concept, the idea, the whole theme of THE VENDING MACHINE [CADET] Vending machines have chocolate bars, Im serving a different kinda bars! Cadet cooly spoke to us candidly about the vending machine project, he just dropped the release out of the blue after putting some fire down on Franklyns Mixtape back in January with a collaboration with Guvna B and Brewer on Ghost Writer. [BETHEL] - What was the motivation and inspiration behind this mixtape? [CADET] The motivation was lyricism, this release was all about lyricism which stepped away from metaphors and too much word play, l wanted to focus more on real heartfelt lyric - I was going back to when hiphop was hiphop! I moved away from doing a project that was all about shifting units and I know I could have got more downloads on this release if I had dropped more pop songs but i wanted this to be all about the fans who like pure lyric and enjoyed more of that than whats commercially driving music right now. ...And people are really going for it brown paper bag, and a few others have been the crowd favourites. Cadet revealed that he has had an almost consistent 300+ downloads a week since releasing which is testament that you can still produce music for a niche market and succeed! [CADET] This began as a record with no features but having a family of talented believers like Guvna B, Utter Once and Klarity I felt that I just couldnt leave them off it, they have too much to offer. The whole album actually recorded all in one day with another day for a couple hours extras for retakes Even though its called the VENDING MACHINE to me it kinda feels more like the VENTING MACHINE, this was me releasing every thing I had written and just wiping the slate so i could start on a brand new project. There were so many people I wanted to involve such as Boost - hes definitely down for the actual album which is coming out after I get back from travelling.

WHAT TYPE OF CHRISTIAN ARE YOU?

What type of Christian are you? I know this question may seem strange, but it is not. After 21 years of winter and summer on this earth, Trust me, my eyes have seen a lot. Many Christians have the right talk, the right conduct, but few with the right heart. In this poem, I'm not attempting to convict nor condemn anybody; the Almighty is there for that. However, I just want to translate, what I have seen under the sun, by the means of my art. Are you an atheist Christian? The one proclaiming to love Christ but has sex with Satan. Are you a hypocritical Christian? The one that preaches one thing but does the total opposite. Are you a capitalist Christian? The one that only calls on Christ for material vanity. Are you a selfish Christian? the one that only ties his hands to the sky when he has pain, problem, desire and wishes? Are you the desperate Christian? Those are the ones that bend their knees, when they have no solution left but facing adversities. So you said you're a Christian, I know! What type of Christian are you though? You could be the evil Christian? The type that takes pleasure of getting angry against the ungodly. Or simply a moralist Christian? The one who feels superior by judging every single action of everybody. May be you are the intellectual Christian? The one who loves discussing Christianity like a mere philosophy. Or possibility the cultural Christian, the one who doesn't follow Christ, but follows a trend, his parents, friends, or loved one blindly. Some are even self righteous Christians, those do not love God per se, they love to see themselves as pure and holy.

So you said you are a Christian, I know! What type of Christian are you though?
I have seen thief Christians, the ones who without a shame, pray "God" before manoeuvring their kleptocracy. Also, I encounter liberal Christians, who out of a rush of emotions would marry a person with a different belief, without thinking one second of their future confused little seeds. Occasionally, I bump into opportunist Christians, those types, only want to be filled with fame and glory. Let us not forget the panhandler Christians, the ones who never pray for themselves, but want the whole Christian community to pray for their struggle pain and sins. Sometime, I meet some socialite Christians, the ones that only attend churches as an amusing social gathering. So you said you're a Christian, I know! What type of Christian are you though? Are you , perhaps, a victim Christian? The one constantly sinking in his own tears, crying, weeping and mourning instead of using the power that God install in him. I unfortunately happen to see some jealous Christians, prisoners of their insecurities and old captivities, still preoccupied with sinful envies. I know a lot of conceited Christians. They are more fascinated in looking at what they are into the mirror instead of looking for who they are in the bible. Are you a gangster Christian? With a shiny cross chain necklace on your chest and a nine millimeter on your waist? May be, your are just a fearful Christian? the one who is so frightened to get caught back into his ungodly life, that he rather close his eyes' heart to lost spiritual orphans, who do need to get saved. So you said you're a Christian, I know! What type of Christian are you though?

Where do you get off judging another church or ministry, are we not all the body of Christ or am I just so nave to think that a united body will reclaim territory? There are real issues that face each community; drugs, abuse, debt, poverty, homelessness, crime, divorce and I could go on and on but the question remains; what are we doing about it all? We sit in our little corner and do nothing but claim to be Christlike. The body is a weak, embarrassing state of where we should be. People can go on TV, Radio or the Internet and employ various other medium to make a mockery of Christianity and we accept it. We have no power or say in any of the facets of governance and hence we just have to take what is given to us. Please be honest with yourself, take a moment to sit down and reflect, ask yourself

this; what am I doing to positively impact my community? You can sit in your corner and cry about situation after situation but nothing will ever change until you exercise dominion. LITTLE FOXES...
Meet Farmer Pete, the owner of acres upon acres of land, with more cattle than he can count and more crops than Rapunzel has hair. The golden sun shines down on his healthy green pasture and the rainfall waters his pride and joy. Like the Father Abraham of his day, he is truly blessed and marvellously helped by the Lord. Recognising that he cannot afford to squander his blessing, he invests in pesticides to rid of any insects and rodents that may consume his harvest. He goes to the trouble of putting up scarecrows to frighten away any birds that might peck at his produce. Whatever you value, you will protect! Song of Solomon 2:15 (NLT) Quick! Catch all the little foxes before they ruin the vineyard of your love, for the grapevines are all in blossom. In this scripture, the young women of Jerusalem urge their companion, the bride of King Solomon, to catch the little foxes. Taken literally, this seems like a ridiculous request, but in effect they were encouraging the bride to identify any problems that might hinder her relationship in the long run. It is important that we deal with problems while they are still small before they escalate, causing all that we have invested in, to be spoilt and ruined. These were little foxes, but allowing them to go unnoticed, would leave the couple feeling bitterness, resentment and regret. God wants us to live life in all its fullness. He has intended for us to have much more than a farm, but dominion over all the earth, the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle over all the earth and over every creeping thing (Genesis 1:26-28). In Genesis 12 we see that one of the many reasons God blessed Abraham was to make him a blessing unto others; I find it amazing that all of the families of the earth would be blessed through him. What is man that God is mindful of us,

that he entrusts us with the responsibility to carry out His work. These things God gives us are not to be stored up and shelved. To whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48). It is made clear in the Parable of Talents that He expects an increase from us. God requires us to use our gifts, talents and resources wisely for his glory and honour. Matthew 25:29 (NLT) To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who are unfaithful, even what little they have will be taken away. John 10:10 warns us that Satans purpose is to steal, kill and destroy; being the deceiver that he is, not everything he does will blatant to the naked eye. Picture a colony of termites, small creatures that can easily slip in your house unnoticed, and yet do enormous amounts of damage to buildings and any other wooden structures. According to a random site I found via Google Their habit of remaining concealed often results in their presence being undetected until the timbers are severely damaged and exhibit surface changes. Do not be deceived, be vigilant! Do not discouraged, be diligent! Do not despise small beginnings for even the Kingdom of Heaven has been likened to the mustard seed. Matthew 13:32 (NLT) It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants and grows into a tree where birds can come and find shelter in its branches. Let us protect our vineyards, guard our victories and care for the precious things God has given us.

The whole event was such a success not because of numbers but because the presence of God was there! People came out and had fun and worshipped in the presence of a great God. The seminar speakers were amazing the musicians were amazing, the worship leaders were awesome. This seminar was just so revealing and inspiring! I personally learnt so much and even now my friends are still talking about what they learnt on that night. It was really good to have such an event in Nottingham because we rarely have worship nights where so many people come out. Im glad it was not a hype thing but a God thing and a lot of people including myself are looking forward to another Unrestrained Worship Night, its time we as Christians learnt the true heart of worship and we are all meant to worship HIM in spirit and in truth and really understand what were doing for and too our awesome God - it was such a blessing!

...Just saw the funniest post on Facebook... A pastor decided to start a church, he had 12 people to start with. He appointed an amour bearer to carry his bible, 8 body guards stood in front of the pulpit to protect him, the remaining three sat to hear the - Man O God preach the worddd-ah!!! True story

Mindsets...
In first year I really didnt understand the importance of uni, and know the calibre of people I was around. I went through the hype and excitement of uni (like a normal uni student) - and I ended up with a group of people who had the mindset of uni not holding any real importance, and saw it as just a way to pass time. Moreover, coming from a very deprived area, with people who had gone to prison for life, being from that environment never really inspired me. So, when I came to uni, I had basically gone from one ghetto to the next - in terms of the mentality. I never realised that I was at such a prestigious university. I coasted through 1st year and 2nd year with 3rds and 2:2s, with the odd 2:1. However, in 3rd year I focussed and changed my mentality, realised where I was and what uni meant. I revised my butt off and managed to get a 1st. But the first step to doing this was believing I could, and saying I could, and then eventually doing it. It all started with the mindset.
