1 Study of CAD centre - Workstation 2 Getting started with a drafted package (say AutoCAD) 3 Working with CAD package using Draw, Edit commands. 4 Adding Texts, Dimensions and Hatching exercises. 5 Special facilities available under Draw, Edit menus. 6 Developing 2D Drawings of Building Components like Doors, Windows, Footings, Staircases, R.C.C. T-Beam and Slab. 7 Plotting of the drawings. 8 Developing Isometric Drawings of simple objects. 9 Developing 3D drawings of simple objects using UCS and 3D Face commands. 10 Getting various views of the Drawings developed..

SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONAL OBJECTIVES:


1 Get familiarised with the component parts (Hardware/Software) of CAD work station. 2 Enter into the various menus of the packages. 3 Use Draw and Edit commands for developing 2D Drawings of simple objects. 4 Enhance the drawing by adding the required Text, Dimensioning and Hatching. 5 Use special features available under various menus. 6 Develop 2D drawings of Civil Engineering components like Doors, Windows, Footings, Staircases, R.C.C T-Beam and Slab. 7 Plot the drawings using Printer/Plotter. 8 Develop Isometric Drawings of simple objects from the given Orthographic Projections. 9 Draft 3D drawings by extrusion using Elevation command 10 Develop 3D drawings employing UCS & 3D face commands 11 Bring out various views of the 3D drawings developed
