MA INTERNATIONAL JOURNALISM FOR MEDIA PROFESSIONALS

This Masters degree is for you if you wish to: engage with fellow journalists and media professionals around the world strengthen your ability to engage in thought leadership and innovation enhance your understanding of other cultures and of global affairs expand your professional expertise into new areas of specialist practice study on a programme tailored to support your individual learning objectives

Programme delivery information: distance learning; you can continue to work as you study flexible study mode with option of part time studies activities and assignments feed into your practice

Programme Structure:

Tri 1 (autumn)

PG Cert

Cross-Platform Journalism and Media Practice (Compulsory)

Global Current Affairs across Cultures (Compulsory)

Leadership and Entrepreneurship in the Media (Compulsory)

Choose three of the following Option modules:

Tri 2 (winter)

PG Dip

Investigative Journalism Global Business and Finance Reporting Documentary Film Production Professional Media Industry Placement

Tri 3 (summer)

Masters

Professional Media Production Dissertation

Upon successful completion of each module you will be awarded 20 credits. The Professional Media Production Dissertation will be awarded with 60 credits. You can opt to study part time, in which case you must complete the Professional Media Production Dissertation by the end of 12 Trimesters.
