Out here, the trees grow tall, the mountains are majestic, the lakes and rivers are unspoiled and the vistas are some of the most beautiful youll ever witness. Weve got Mt. Hood and the Columbia River Gorge right in our backyard. This is a place of adventure and natural wonder, and its spirit infuses everything we do. When you live in a place this incredible, you want to get out and enjoy it as much as possible. So at Yakima, were huge outdoor enthusiasts. Were cyclists, campers, skiers, snowboarders, climbers, hikers and kayakers, who load up our car racks and take to the forests, slopes and waterways every chance we get. And since Yakima happens to make the worlds nest car racks, our play time and work time are forever intertwined. It just so happens we get our best ideas while spending time with Mother Nature. Like, Hey, lets make a snow mount we can operate with gloves on so we wont get a debilitating case of popsicle nger. Or, Lets put padding and nets in our cargo boxes so gear doesnt rattle around like its in a giant maraca. Or, Lets integrate a bottle opener into our bike racks, since we cant carry one around while were wearing spandex. We want to share our love for the outdoors with the entire world by making it sweet and easy to get your gear to your happy place.
