Indian celebrities, Muslim faith Submitted by admin3 on 19 June 2011 - 12:02pm Articles India News Indian Muslim By Ekram

Haque, From time to time, we hear about some Muslim celebrities in India engaging in pr actices that is akin to compromising their faith. A recent case in point is news reports of cricketer Zaheer Khan worshiping in a temple. There are also several cases of young Muslim men and women marrying spouses from other faiths. This is a serious problem, and the Muslim celebrities in the sports and entertainment w orld as well as the Muslim youth must be reminded about the implications of thei r actions.

As is well known, the Muslim testimony of faith I testify that there is no god, exce t Allah begins with the negation of all deities and affirmation of Allah as the only God. Worshiping anyone else, whether for political correctness or expediency, br eaks this covenant. The struggle of all prophets throughout history, including t he Prophet Muhammad (S), was to invite people to the worship of one true God. In the pursuit of this goal, some of the prophets and their followers went through severe persecution, including expulsion from their homelands.

The very first pillar of a Muslim s faith is to testify to Allah s lordship with the to gue, believe in it in the heart, and manifest it through actions. Faith without action is meaningless, and action without faith is deficient. It is often the la st part where people fall short the most. The pagans of Makkah had pleaded with Prophet Muhammad (S) to worship their gods in return for them worshiping Allah. In response came a small chapter of the Qu r an completely rejecting any bartering of the faith: Say: O disbelievers, I worship not what you worship, Nor will you worship what I worship, Nor will you worship whom I worship, And I shall not worship that you are worshipping, Nor will you worship whom I worship, To you, your religion, to me, mine. Sura 109, verses 1-6 In another famous incident, some of the nobles of Makkah offered the Prophet Muh ammad (S) the kingship and wealth of the Quraysh if he renounced his faith in on e God. The Prophet response: I will not do that even if you gave me sun in one h and and moon in the other. Islam acknowledges the existence of other faiths and encourages cooperation with them for the common good. The Prophet Muhammad (S) worked with the pagans of Ma kkah before his prophethood to maintain a treaty of common goodwill, known as Hi lf ul Fudhul. Many years later as a prophet he said that if he were to be invite d to join such an endeavor again he would gladly do so. While Muslims are encouraged to have good relations with people of other faiths, they are forbidden to worship anyone other than Allah. In Islam, there is no si n greater than associating partners with God. The Qur an categorically states that w hile Allah can forgive all sins, there is no forgiveness for those who die on po lytheism, called shirk in Arabic. In all fairness, the celebrity world is a study in contrast. On the one hand we have seen some Muslim celebrities engaging in unislamic practices, at the same t

ime we have witnessed several high-profile non-Muslim figures embracing Islam. C ases in point: Kamala Das, Maulana Umar Gautam, Malcolm X, Yvonne Ridley, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Imam Jamil Al-Amin (H. Rap Brown) and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. In fact, there are far more examples of the second kind. These celebrities found Islam to be the self-evident truth and liberator. So for the Muslim celebrities who have worshipped in temples or taken spouses th at Islamically are not allowed to them, it is time to take a fresh look at their priorities. It is possible that some celebrities and Muslim individuals in gene ral may be put in a situation by the non-Muslim friends where they are expected to participate in their rituals. These Muslims may oblige with the intention to not hurt their sentiments. Instead, these celebrities should use wisdom and conv ey politely to their non-Muslim friends that they cannot participate in any ritu al that is contradictory to their Islamic faith. They will not only earn the res pect from their non-Muslim friends for adhering to his/her religious belief but also avoid such situations in the future. These celebrities should learn from the great example of Caliph Umar (R). He was invited by the Christian leaders to directly negotiate the handover of Jerusale m to which he had agreed and entered Jerusalem in 637 AD on foot without any blo odshed or massacre. When it was time for prayer, the priests offered him the Chu rch of the Holy Sepulcher to perform the prayer. Umar refused to pray in the Chu rch, Had he done so, he explained, the Muslims would have wanted to build a mosq ue there to commemorate the first Islamic prayer in Jerusalem. So, he made it cl ear to the Christian priests without hurting their sentiments. In conclusion, life and its pleasure are short-lived and temporary for everyone. S omeday, entertainment careers will end and sports prowess will wither away. The fans they care so much about will desert them. The only companion and helper tha t will remain with them is a faith they had not contaminated with disbelief. I think this article is more Submitted by Shazia Shaikh (not verified) on 20 June 2011 - 3:07pm. I think this article is more sort of emtional outburst than logical and i am won dering how can twocircle.net give space to this. In Islam, every one is accounta ble for his/her Amaal i.e. what they do. I am not answerable for what you did an d nor u r liable for my deeds. Even great Prophet (PBUH) was instructed in Quran likewise. It also implies that we should not be judgemental towards others. It' s not your buiseness to interfere in other's personal beliefs. Further more, we cannot say non-Muslim Kaafir because Kaafir in arabic implies one who rejects tr uth and even Muslim can be Kaafir according to its lexiography. Therefore, my re quest to the writer and like minded people stop being judgmental and emotional s trenghthen your arguement. reply Share Muslim faith is not so easily compromised! Submitted by Ghulam Mohiyuddin (not verified) on 20 June 2011 - 12:05pm. A Muslim can pray to Allah while he is standing in a Hindu temple. The object of his prayer is in his heart, even if there is an idol in front of him. Our imaan is not so delicate that it will get tainted by our physical surroundings. Recit ing Vande Maatram too does not harm our faith. It is what is in one's heart, not

on one's lips, that matters. reply Share may allah guide you Submitted by Fakrudin (not verified) on 21 June 2011 - 10:58am. If his heart is for Allah then to please who he goes to temple?.....if in heart something and in lip something that is called hypocrisy. Dear brother please rem ember you are answerable to Allah ...for the stupidity you circulate...may Allah guide you reply Share Re; May Allah guide you Submitted by Ghulam Mohiyuddin (not verified) on 22 June 2011 - 12:03am. Fakrudin says, "if in heart something and in lip something that is called hypocr isy." If a Muslim sings Vande Maatram, he is singing the national song and expressing his love of the country. He is not worshipping the goddesses mentioned in the so ng. In his heart he worships only Allah. If another Muslim finds the song object ionable, he certainly should have the freedom not to sing it. Excessive fear of committing "shirk" is the hallmark of cowards, not of true Muslims. reply Share how kafit to be treated - Expert comments Submitted by satwa gunam (not verified) on 20 June 2011 - 8:19am. article is self explanatory ===================== http://www.islamreview.com/articles/What_Islam_Wants.shtml ALL INDIAN HINDUS WILL BE CONVERTED INTO ISLAM JI is already equating India with Hindus so that the Hindus of Pakistan will be forced to become Muslims. This was a very successful strategy during the Babri M asjid riots. JI was actively involved in destroying the Hindu temples in Punjab and Sindh. We ordered the destruction of the Hindu family property too. But our main aim was to destroy the Hindu temples. We wrote in the JI pamphlets that des troying each pagan temple makes a Muslim move closer to the heaven of Allah. We used the Hadiths in all the pamphlets. Babar destroyed the Ram temple in Ayodhya because he was a true believer. The same way, every Muslim should take it upon himself to destroy the Hindu temples in Pakistan. O! ur idea was to encourage th e Muslims of India also to destroy the Hindu temples in India. But this was not met with much success since the Hindu police in India started attacking the Musl ims who were doing Allah's duty. reply Share Zahir Khan Submitted by Dr.Mookhi Amir Ali (not verified) on 20 June 2011 - 1:53am.

Zaheer khan himself is responsible for his actions.Allah (swt) doesnot force anyone to commit a crime although freedom is part of the TEST everyone has to undergo, without which everyone would be good obedient man like angels. only good souls who despite freedom restrain themselves from temptation of evil will enter Jannah. reply Share i can just pray 'Allah un Submitted by Muhammad Nawaz (not verified) on 19 June 2011 - 11:33pm. i can just pray 'Allah un sabko hidayat de' and un logo ko bhi ilm hasil karna c hahiye reply Share Response from A Kaafir Submitted by Abhishek Srivastava (not verified) on 19 June 2011 - 6:36pm. I guess this is the biggest problem of Muslims in India. They were offered a fin ger and have grasped the whole hand. To preach your children not to co exist wit h the people of other religion by telling them that Non Moslems are kaafirs and we have to be buutshakeen and some utter nonsense they are just giving way to an other partition or Gujarat 2002 to happen. But please do not forget that Muslims will always remain minority and remember the words from Gita" Yadaa yadaa hee d harmsaya glanir bhawati bharata, abhyuthana adharmasya partitranaya sadunam. Dhr masnasthapnathaya sambhawani yuge yuge.. Translate it and you will know what it means. reply Share @Abhishek - Coexistence can Submitted by Ansari (not verified) on 20 June 2011 - 8:49pm. @Abhishek - Coexistence can be done better and more productively and with more r espect in many other ways. Nothing against coexistence, in fact it is absolutely necessary. Coexistence doesn't have to mean adopting each other's religion; it means respecting their choice to follow it. reply Share You cann't be a Kaafir until you know the truth Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on 20 June 2011 - 8:59am. Reply@Abhishek; I am very much annoyed when I have seen a man calls Kaafir himse

lf since I know the dire consequences here and hereafter of being a Kaafir. Brot her you can not be a Kaafir until you know what the truth is. You have rightly q uoted Sambhawami yuge yuge...Have you heard about a Maha Irshi, who had come to M arusthal? This Maha Irshi is nothing but Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) who preached exa ctly what your Vedas say. Do you know Brahma Sutra? Ekam Brahmam Dvitiya Naste N ehna Naste Kinchen...There is only one God, no any second one, not at all in the least bit.. Ekam Evadityam..There is only one God, whom you have to worship. Na tasya pratam a asti..There is no image for God. If you worship the idols, you will become a M aterialist, whose place is Hellfire. Please learn Sanskrit, read and study your Holy Books in the right sense. Insha Allah you will become a Faithful. Jazakalla h Khair. reply Share Response to Kaafir Submitted by Ahmed (not verified) on 19 June 2011 - 8:00pm. Dear Kaafir, To clarify something which you do not know. Many Non-Muslims do not know the mean ing of the Kaafir. The Non Muslims especially Hindus get easily offended by this word. In fact if you look at the term used in Arabic for non Muslims is kaafir. Kaafir is a person who do not believe in Islam or Tawheed (Oneness of God and h is Messnegr) So anyone who do not believe in Islam is called Kaafir. So The issu e here is that there is a big fault among Muslims. Its a need of the hour and it s a duty of every Muslim to preach and propagate Islam in the best way possible as mentioned in the Qur'an. The problem for all this misconceptions is lack of K nowledge and Ignorance about Islam and its practices. Therefore it is essential to educate Hindus about Allah (god) and his Messenger and the Message from the Q uran. Regarding Celebrities wether sports or Movies they are very much part of Dunia a nd they love this world and its fake happenings. No matter any Muslim advice the m they will not change at all. reply Share
