SAUDI KAYAN PETROCHEMICAL PLANT,VHP boiler

As Control Room Operator - Operating the control panels (DCS) comprising of highly sophisticated and computerized equipment on shift in the assigned operating area. It includes the operating and controlling the instrumentation on the control panels governing process qualities and quantities. Constantly visualizes, diagnosis and manipulates micro processing electronic controlling facilities to ensure safe and proper function and that products meet the required stipulated specifications and quantities. As Field Operator - Monitoring on shift in the assigned operating area, the operation of processing plant and all equipment and ongoing maintenance work. It includes regular inspection of operations (field tours), adjustment of a variety of valves and switches, maintaining all equipment in synchronization and taking and analyzing log readings from a variety of gauges and indicators. Reports any anomalies noted to his Supervisor and/or to the Operator in control room duty. Substituting the shift supervisor when required.

Attending the departmental safety, health and good housekeeping meetings, participates in plant inspection tours and takes active participation in implementing Company policies on safety, health, loss prevention and quality management. Observing all safety, fire and security rules and regulations, including the use of protective clothing and equipment and ensures that all personnel working in his area comply with safety procedures. Ensures the maintenance of assigned area in clean and tidy conditions.

j Cryogenic Storage Facilities having two Double Wall Storage Tanks (DWST) of capacity 12,000 Mt of Ethylene. 2500 MT of Propylene & Product distribution net work to down stream plants. j Good trouble shooting & analytical skills, operational planning and implementation. j Good operating experience of Cryogenic Double Wall storage tanks, Ebara in tank submerge pumps, Emergency Vaporizers, compressors , Multi stage centrifugal pumps /Sun dyne pumps having good operations knowledge of DCS (TDC 3000 TATA-Honeywell. GC-OSBL (Outside Battery Limit) is having a cryogenic storage regasification & distribution facility of ethylene, propylene. Cryogenic storage includes Double wall storage tanks (DWST 12000 MT) having submerged pumps,(EBARA,USA),BOG compressors Labyrinth type (SULZER BURK HARDT ,Switzerland), Emergency Ethylene vaporizers (Armstrong / Chemtek type, Singapore), Sun dyne pumps (Nikkisso Sun Strand, Japan, Gabbioneta, Italy) , Jetty operations (Loading and unloading operation of chemical cargos through hydraulically operated arm (WOODFIELD SYSTEM U.K. including Cryogenic liquid) ,licensed by MBPL, UK. Roles and Responsibilities: y y Control and stabilize various parameters of the plant by taking necessary actions in order to avoid major disturbances/upsets of the plant and thus achieving the specified quality of the product and targeted production. y Operation and trouble shooting of DWS Tank of Ethylene (having submerged pumps),C2/C3, Propylene spheres, BOG (ethylene & propylene) compressors, Emergency ethylene vaporizers. y Controlling Fuel gas network of entire complex. y Managing flare (HP/LP) system of entire complex.

Pre-commissioning & Commissioning activity of 100 km Gas supply / return cross-country pipeline and 105 Km of Naphtha, Propylene and Ethylene Pipe lines. (DGB & Dahej- Hazira pipeline) Conducting Safety Audits at work premises. y PRECOMMISSIONING EXPERIENCE : Plant Air Purging, Pressurization & Depressurization of pipelines and equipments, sheet blasting, leak testing in pipelines and various equipments related flanges, steam, Air, Nitrogen purging to various equipments like Columns, Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Centrifugal Compressors, Control Valves operation and tripping Devices, etc.. COMMISSIONING EXPERIENCE : Hydrocarbon ( Ethylene ) charging in various equipments and leak testing at above its operating pressure and attending work done, if any leak during commissioning activity. Handle VHP Steam (110 Bar), HP steam (42Bar), MP Steam (12 Bar) & Lpstream (3.5 Bar) to run Turbine operated Compressors and Pumps, to operate Ejectors, as a heating media in Heat Exchangers. Check list preparation for the start-up of lube oil/seal oil system to run refrigeration compressors (Ethylene Refrigeration & Propylene Refrigeration Compressors), Cracked Gas Compressors, Expander-Compressors Unit, Hydrogen Compressors & various Turbine driven pumps, Pressure Swing Absorption Unit, etc..

Handling of various equipments like Furnace supplied by SWEC, USA, C. G. Compressor supplied by MITSUBISHI, JAPAN, Ethylene / Propylene Refrigeration Unit supplied by EBARA Corp., JAPAN. Attended various seminars on Safety, Health, & Environment. I also attended First Aid Training , Fire & Safety Training and also worked as a Safety Committee Member & a Near-Miss Reporter. (1).since 30th July 1997 I had worked in RELIANCE Petrochemicals.Ltd. at their Dahej unit as a Plant as a EXECUTIVE(panel operation) I had worked in Gas cracker. (2). I had served Gujarat Godrej Innovative Chem. Ltd. From 1/1/1992 to 23/07/1997 as a

production panel Operator and was handling DCS control system-TDC-3000. I was also looking high pressure compressor up to 300mbar, Hydrogen Reformer Temperature up to 850 Deg C, Hydrogenation plant reactor having temperature up to 300 Deg C and also High pressure pump of 300 bar Natural Gas, Fatty acid and Fatty Alcohol as Product. (3)During the period from 12/03/1990 to 26/12/1991 I worked as Process panel Operator In Gujarat Flouro Chem. Ltd. and there I was handling refrigent gas , CFC in reaction section ,distillation section Where Hydrofluoric Acid ,Carbon Tetrachloride & Chloroform are the Product (4)I had served INDO-NIPPON petrochemical ltd. as a Operator from 1st October 1989 till 17th February 1990 and was handling there Plasticizer Product unit and carrying out reaction Distillation, filtration for the raw material of Methanol as well as Ethanol, Product DEP/DMP.
