Title : The Rex , My Cat

The Rex , My Cat Raison was a little boy . He raced about the street, shouted and yelled at his friends who come out with their pet dogs for a morning walk. He aspired to have a dog of his own so that he too can go along with his dog like all his other friends. He was that sort of boy. He had a fervor for a pet dog. Then one day I wish we had a dog that could come for a morning walk with me , Mummy, he said to his mother. Raisons family was not fond of dogs or cats in the house for their barking sound effects, however his mother can accept cat as a pet and wished she would come and kill all the mice and rats in the kitchen. His mother spoke up, No! dont do that, dogs would bark and whine and creates a living hell , you can pet a cat that would kill all mice and rats in the kitchen. Besides his house lives a pretty little cat which was black in color with sparkling green eyes. She could jump the highest and climb marvelously. She was always purring and loved to be petted yet she was very vain. She was searching for a master who could pet her well. The cat used to observe the boy every day. Indeed, he was a sweet little boy and mischievous like all other kids . He always argued with his parents for want of a pet dog. She inclined to become a pet of the bossy boy . But whenever they countenance Raison shouts at her. Go away, he said . Have you come to drink away my milk and curd rice?. Go away! I dont like you and Im sure you dont like me. It hurts the poor little cat ,the pretty mentula! and her eyes moved up and down. Raison was of opined that the cat would also scratch and bite him . Moreover he dislikes black color. As the cat is black in color he showed no sign of interest. He shouted at her to make her run away or frightened her by chasing. He had never glanced at the cat with love . Why is he so cruel to me? the cat amuses herself. Doesnt he know that I want to be a friend of him. What a funny boy he keeps me at bay?. Perhaps the boy is scared of my color or I may hurt him. I must clear all his doubts and prove to be a good friend of him. Then one day the cat decided to speak to the boy . Unexpectedly Raison went to his grandparents house in the country to spend summer vacation. The Cat was wondering where this boy might have gone. Her eyes were filled with tears waiting for his return. In fact, the cat is beautiful but his fascination for want of a dog blindfolded Raison to view the beauty of the cat. While Raison was at his grandparents house he had experienced some strange things. There were some cats in the house which were very bubbly and it was an exciting place for Raison to stay at. In addition to them, his

grandfather brought two more cats. A black cat as well as a white cat. One of the cats moved closely with him which reminded him of the cat at his home. Grandparents feed them and the cats encircles the grandparents with their arms and looked up at them with a vacant expression. They also helped the grandparents in small ways and enjoyed naps in the lap of them. They were everything for these little kittens. They had been warm in the lap of grandparents. Raison was never used to these cats in his life and was pleased to observe the cats deriving happiness resting in the lap of his grandparents . This inspired him a lot and jogged his memory towards his black cat which was waiting for his lovely pat. No sooner did Raison come to his house, he had witnessed a radiant smile on the cats face awaiting to welcome him. She bowed to him in a friendliest fashion. He was pleased at her attitude and took her into his arms and patted very lovely. He learnt that its not the color that determines the person what is important is its attitude and faithfulness. The cat had felt so cozy and purred her agreement. He had taken the cat to his mother . Mom! I wish this cat would me mine, he asked his mother for consent . She did not object him as she observed the happiness in her sons eyes and his passion for want of some pet animal in the house since he is a little boy and finally agreed to it. He called the cat by name Rex and found to be the finest cat in the world. Raison had finally loved to have the cat and the cat had got master to pet her. The next morning he took the cat for a morning walk with speculation what would happen if dogs and cat come together. To his surprise all the dogs behaved very decently welcoming the cat. Nevertheless, believing Raisons pet animal his friends laughed at him. What a funny boy, they shouted at him. Some of them complained , it would create a trend to go walking with a cat, some others made fun out of his behavior and a few of them supported him but the Rex stood beside Raison marking the content on his masters face. Raison didnt not feel shy or quarreled with any one when they teased him. Instead, he received them with a lovely smile sighing them towards the pet animals. All the friends wondered, the two rivalry animals are very friendly. They greeted each other. The friends felt guilty of their behavior. This signified that man ought to learn much from animals. Raison also petted other dogs that came for morning walk. Whatever people may think about the cat , Raison had derived happiness in having a pet animal and on the other side the Rex got her master. Both of them are happy.
