GPS Plus GLONASS Receiver Complete with inbuilt Radio UHF or Spread Spectrum
ASTRUM
Astrum from APS combines an RTK GPS receiver and a data radio into one neat package. The highly sensitive GPS receiver can determine position in three dimensions within one to two centimetres. It can be used for the GPS satellites alone or with GLONASS. The radio is designed to receive or transmit GPS correction signals and also transfer data. The UHF or spread spectrum design allows trouble free operation. The package is ruggedly designed to stand up to the rough handling and difficult conditions expected on mining and earthmoving equipment. Applications include base reference stations, survey instruments and machine guidance. Astrum is sold by APS either as a stand alone product or as part of our advanced machine guidance systems. APS offers a wide range of systems for all kinds of mining and earthmoving equipment including drills, dozers, graders, dredges, shovels, scrapers and excavators. APS systems and components are supported by our experienced technical staff, and have been thoroughly tested on mine sites in Australia and North America.

Small & Compact Modular Design
The GPS in the Astrum is developed around a full function Topcon Euro Card design which allows either Single frequency GPS/Glonass L1 or full dual frequency functionality of GPS+Glonass L1/L2 signals." Unit can be configured with 1-4 serial ports depending on your requirements. Another unique advantage of the Astrum is the software upgrade-ability, which allows the user to upgrade the receiver without having to send the unit back to the service shop. Just upload a new configuration file via the convenient PC CDU interface. Processing and various internal memory options can be easily upgraded later without having to return the unit to the supplier. Antenna The phase center of a GPS+ antenna is the basis for all solutions. Its assumed the phase center is the same as the physicial center, but with other antennas, it can change as satellite positions change. Our zero centered antennas use four feed points to maintain accurate center alignment so you can maintain accurate solutions.
A Choice of Controllers
APS offers easy to use, high performance Win-CE software that allows for high levels of localization. The control software runs on the convenient Husky Fex21 or Ranger. Not only is APSs controller software extremely easy to use, it can be used to run a range of survey instruments like total stations as well, offering you seamless integration of your different equipment.

MINTER simplicity
The control buttons on a Alstrum receiver provide the Minimum Interface; MINTER. Just two function keys and four 3 colour LEDs are all thats necessary to record data and check survey status. It doesnt get easier then that!

Beacon solutions
APS Alstrum Receivers can be used in conjunction with various international & local beacon solutions. Please contact your local APS representative for details.
