Daily lesson plan for year 5 Name: Mohd.

Jaid Bin Burin Year: 5 UMS Topic: 3 Saving Our Environment Date: 22 February 2011 Theme: World of self/ World of Knowledge Duration: 60 minutes Day: Monday No. of Students: Time: 11.30 12.30 am

Lesson summary: At the beginning of the lesson teacher attract students attention to the diagram about recycling and discuss things that are sent to recycling centers. After that, teacher asks students to read the poem using correct pronunciation and intonation. In practice stage students will discuss how garbage in their house disposed and complete the comprehension exercise. For production stage students will present in front about the situation in the picture. Teacher will refresh pupils what they have learnt in the closure stage and remind them the important of take care the environment.

Learning Outcomes: 1.1 Listen to and discriminate similar and different sounds of the English language. 2.3 Give relevant information politely in response to enquiries made.

Specifications: 1.1.3 Listen to and group words according to the same sounds.

2.3.6 Take part in teacher guided discussion. 3.4.3 Read aloud poems and stories clearly and expressively.

3.4 Read aloud expressively and fluently pronouncing words correctly and observing correct stress and intonation and sentence rhythm.

Pupils previous knowledge: Pupils have seen recycling campaign in television. Behavioral objectives: At the end of this lesson, pupils should be able to: 1. Using of correct grammar rules in write sentence is very important. It can give much benefit to pupils when writing composition in English for short stories, novels and others.
