The patient effectively met the goals. Deep breathing exercises & Guided imagery and music therapy were used by the patient to manage his pain and that in the process; he was able to manifest a relief in pain.

* How to do deep breathing exercises. - Lie down with your knees bent. You can also do the exercise while sitting or standing upright with your head and back supported. - Place your hand on your abdomen, just above your waist. - Try and relax before getting started. -Inhale deeply through your nose while gently pushing out your abdomen. You should be able to feel the hand on your abdomen moving outward. With your abdomen extended outward, your diaphragm can now drop down making more room for air in your lungs. - Exhale slowly using pursed lips while gently pushing inward and upward with your hand to help empty your lungs completely.

-Repeat. Practice the technique in a sitting and standing position till you are comfortable doing it anywhere. Music Therapy -The use of music to promote healing and enhance quality of life of patients. Music therapy may be used to encourage emotional expression, promote social interaction and reduce pain. -Music therapy include making music, listening to music, writing songs, and talking about lyrics. Music therapy may also involve imagery and learning through music. It can be done in different places such as hospitals, health centers, at home, or anywhere people can benefit from its calming or stimulating effects. The patient does not need to have any musical ability to benefit from music therapy.

Guided Imagery . - Get into a comfortable position - Use diaphragmatic deep breathing and close your eyes, focusing on breathing in peace and breathing out stress. - Once you get to a relaxed state, begin to envision yourself in the midst of the most relaxing environment you can imagine. (example: floating in the cool clear water) - As you imagine your scene, try to involve all of your senses. What does it look like? How does it feel? What special scents are involved? Make your vision so real. - Stay for as long as you like. Enjoy your surroundings, and let yourself be far from what stresses you.
