Introduction
To all OCR assessors Welcome to the new DHL User Guide booklet, It has been designed for all of OCRs assessors with the single aim to provide a complete overview of the DHL network. Ian Duffield This booklet not only explains how to return parcels to OCR and movements between assessors but it looks at how OCR despatch material to you at home. It is important to remember that DHL is split into two networks; Domestic and International and that the OCR operation encompasses both. OCR uses the DHL domestic network to transit all of its outbound material, and with this in mind we have added a section in this booklet that explains what this service offers and how you can get the best out of it. OCR uses the DHL domestic network, referred to as DHL@HOME to transit all of its outbound materials to assessors. We have added a section to this booklet outlining this service. All of the OCR Inter Assessor Parcel movement is handled by the DHL international team. This booklet gives you a full and complete guide to using this service. DHL User Guide Domestic

Outbound from Windsor Street

All shipments despatched from OCR Windsor Street going to home addresses will now be shipped using the new DHL@HOME service. The DHL@HOME service allows OCR to send shipments on a non signature and signature service. The non signature service is used for sending non confidential materials, such as Assessor Stationery Packs. All shipments sent on this service will have a No Signature Required label, instructing the driver to leave in a Safe Place, if there is no one at home to receive the shipment. The signature service is used for sending all other shipments which are classed as confidential, and therefore a signature must be obtained. The DHL@HOME service is designed to get your OCR Shipments delivered to your home address within a flexible delivery window. This delivery window allows parcels to be delivered up to 9pm Monday to Friday. If you are not at home when the driver attempts delivery, a card will be left providing contact details for you to rearrange a suitable time for redelivery. Please be aware that shipments will be returned back to OCR after three failed delivery attempts.

Inter assessor movement

All shipments of scripts that are either returned to OCR or sent to another Assessor are shipped through the DHL International network. It is important to remember the DHL International network operates separately to the Domestic network. The following pages of this booklet is specifically written to assist you in how to use this service

Completing your Air Waybill

Points to consider:
One Air Waybill is required per parcel. Please complete the Air Waybill using a ball point pen. Keep a copy of the Air Waybill for your records. Is your parcel packaged correctly? Please ensure your creditor/identifier number is clearly written on each bag and does not exceed the maximum weight of 8kgs.

Each assessor is provided with TWO versions of a DHL Air Waybill:

Booking options
Points to consider:
DHL perform collections and deliveries Monday to Friday during normal business hours. There are no Saturday collection or delivery services available. On collection an individual will need to be present to hand each shipment over to the DHL courier. In addition the DHL couriers will not deliver any shipment without a signature being obtained from the receiver. DHL require a minimum of three hours from the time your booking is placed, to the time the actual collection takes place. The parcels are then shipped on a next day delivery service; there are no timed or same day deliveries available for collections. Once the parcels are ready for collection DHL require each assessor to provide a three hour collection window. While every effort will be made to ensure that the quoted collection times are met, many factors outside of DHLs control may affect this, such as traffic and geographical location. Please ensure you make a note of the booking reference number which will be given to you by DHL when making your booking. You will be asked to provide this if you experience any problems with your collection.

Option 1 Drop off at a DHL Service Centre

Option 2 Book a collection via e-mail

You can book a collection via e-mail by completing the booking template. This is available by return email at exammodws@ocr.org.uk (Monday Friday 0800 hrs 1600 hrs) or alternatively it can be downloaded from the Assessors area of the OCR website at www.ocr.org.uk/assessors. Please email the completed form to bookuk@dhl.com DHL will reply with a booking reference once this has been arranged.

Option 3 Book a collection on the dedicated assessor booking line

DHL provide a dedicated Customer Service team available on 0870 060 2252 for making bookings over the phone. If suitable for your own convenience, try to avoid calling before 1000 hrs in order to get quicker access to a DHL Customer Service Agent.

Deliveries from other assessors

Deliveries will take place Monday to Friday between normal business working hours.
If you have received a card from DHL, you can obtain your parcel in one of the following ways:

Points to consider:
If no one is available to sign for the package, the DHL courier will leave a card giving the local DHL Service Centre telephone number that can be called to rearrange delivery. If you are receiving shipments from DHL you must not negotiate with the DHL Service Centre or DHL driver a place in which to leave the shipment(s). All shipments must be signed for.

Re-delivery
To arrange a re-delivery you will need to contact the local Service Centre by calling the number on the card. You will be asked to provide your name, telephone number the Air Waybill number of the package (available from the card).

Re-direction
If the package is to be re-directed to an alternative address, you can arrange this by contacting the local DHL Service Centre by telephone and quoting the re-direction password of OCR Exams, confirming the telephone number and full address, including the postcode of the alternative contact. Alternatively, you can arrange this by email or fax to the local DHL Service Centre by providing the same information.

Collection from your local Service Centre

When collecting a shipment from a DHL Service Centre you will be asked to provide two forms of identification, one of which will need to be a photo ID. If you are able to call the Service Centre before arrival, the shipment will be located and will reduce your waiting time. Issues with collections

You will be asked to provide the following information so that your query can be dealt with efficiently: Your Creditor/Identifier number. Your Name and telephone number. The Booking reference. Collection details (including date, time slot and quantity of parcels). Full Collection address, including postcode and telephone number. Full Delivery address and postcode.
