Partnership: Hamilo Coast, SM Lands premier, sustainable leisure destination in Nasugbu, Batangas

Sikat Solar Car


Objective: Development of "Sikat II, the second solar-powered car built exclusively
by Filipino students to compete in the 2011 World Solar Challenge in Australia.

Highlights: Nation-wide tour in 2010; new Sikat II unveiled Partnership: SIKAT is produced through the partnership between De La Salle
University, Energy Devt Corp, First Solar, Ford Philippines, Motolite, Pilipinas Shell, SunPower, Air21, Alternergy, SM Supermalls, Tan Yan Kee, U-Freight, and WWF.

Formula Juan Auto-LPG Conversion of Jeepneys


Aim: Transformation of the mass transport sector into a low carbon public mass
transportation system through the use of LPG as a transitional fuel

Partners: Chain Reaction, ECOS Environmental Foundation (performed engine


conversion), Abbott Laboratories

Target: 6 LPG-Converted Jeepneys plying the streets


3 Change Engine Permits already acquired 2 more still being acquired, 1 reconverted back to diesel

Challenges:
Unfamiliarity with the converted technology Low uptake of jeepneys as outdoor advertising mediums Delay in securing change engine permits
