IP VPN MPLS Services

IP is a protocol which is de-facto a protocol for converged data communications. With security features of IPSEC and MPLS VPN technologies, IP connections became an excellent replacement for traditional SDH systems. IP VPN stands for IP Virtual Private Network. It is a set of technologies that allow you to build secure virtual paths between hosts on insecure networks. The particular type of VPN Network Services is commonly known as a remote access or tunnel mode VPN. It acts very much like a classical dialup service; however, in this case you are using a data network rather than a voice network to make your calls. Rather than dialing into a modem on the far end, you are making a connection to a VPN concentrator and thus creating a secure tunnel from your network to the tunnel concentrator of another network. The latter can be located in the other part of world and connected via internet network. Thus, everything you send to and receive from the other endpoint is encrypted. By connecting to the VPN service, it is assured that the data transmission is secured between your host and the host in the other part of network. IP VPN and MPLS service revenues are growing faster than most networking services revenues of other service providers. Various factors, such as the migration of Frame Relay/ATM services to IP VPN services, gain market share of outsourced services. As an integration and service providing company with Cisco certified knowledge engineers, Softnet can offer you various types of assistance, namely consulting, building up and monitoring your IP transit paths.

Network Design and Implementation

Designing a network architecture that meets business needs is crucial. Designing an internetwork can be a challenging task. An internetwork that consists of only 50 meshed routing nodes can pose complex problems that lead to unpredictable results. Attempting to optimize internetworks that feature hundreds or even thousands of nodes can cause even more complex problems. Despite improvements in equipment performance and media capabilities, internetwork design is becoming more difficult. The trend leads towards increasingly complex environments involving multiple media, multiple protocols, and interconnection between networks outside any single organizations dominion of control. Carefully designed internetworks can reduce the hardships associated with growth as the networking environment evolves. Softnet can help you plan and design guidelines for your own network.

Wireless Networks Design and Implementation

Wireless networks can be a very valuable asset when connecting a location which is not reachable by fiber or as redundant connection, especially in case of natural disasters. Earthquakes, for instance, can cause a months-long landline interruption and even if the customer has backup energy source, they cannot operate without connections. Softnet can help you design, implement and maintain low or high speed, short or long haul wireless links.

Hosting Co-location and Managed Services

Network Services

Hosting of servers and other communication equipment is a part of the operation process in many cases. With its co-location services, Softnet allows you to locate your server in several countries across Europe (Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria), taking advantage of our coverage also in the areas where there is no wide choice of such services. This allows for the fastest possible delivery of electronic information from your own server to target market. Each co-location is air-conditioned and secured. We have dedicated or shared racks. Co-location is an ideal solution for any company in need of having their infrastructure hosted in a stable, redundant and secure environment. Besides, Softnet managed services include remote hands and maintenance of routers, servers and other equipment around the clock.

Case Study

Industry sector: Dairy Industry

Regional Connectivity and Managed Telecommunication Services for Dairy Industry European market leader
By replacing its classical Internet connections with secure connections assured by Managed VPN services, The Client improved performances, enable business expansion and saved costs.

Summary
Our Client extended the business in South Eastern Europe in 2007, by acquiring a big dairy producer in Croatia, this company becoming Clients center for business expansion in the area of South Eastern Europe on the markets of former Yugoslavia and, as of January 1st 2008, the markets of Romania, Bulgaria and Albania. The Client was interested to connect only the Offices (not the production sites) to the center in South Eastern Europe, in Zagreb. The project involves the offices from Romania (Bucharest), Slovenia (Ljubljana) and Serbia (Sombor). The company uses usual Internet connections offered by different providers for every site. They also used the public telephony system for long distance calls between the sites. Every office was independent from telecom point of view and Zagreb has no control.

Business Opportunity
As the Client extended the business, the need for central management of telecomm issues appear more and more obvious. In addition, a need for a single network, a single service provider for improved efficiency of date transfer was revealed. Another important aspect, a Service Level Agreement became a must-have.

Why SoftNET?
