This new 9 Volt FM Transmitter Kit can transmit over 900 feet in the open depending on aerial used. The tank oscillator coil is built into the circuit board, and has been tinkered with to give the best distance and stability for it's size. The battery supply rails have been well tied together with respect to radio frequencies. The tracks are also thicker making the fm transmitter circuit a single solid block eliminating RF currents in different parts of the circuit. This also means the battery no longer has RF on it which makes the whole unit a lot more frequency stable. Can be tuned anywhere in FM band - DIY Kit 18. Specifications: L: 1-3/4" W: 7/8" H: 1/2" Requires 9 Volt Battery Transmission frequency is user selectable. Transmitter can be listened to on any FM radio.
via the supplied USB cable. No drivers are needed for supported operating systems and the transmitter installs itself within seconds as soon as you plug it into your computer. The USB FM transmitter appears as a sound card to your computer and any audio produced by the computer will be transmitted over the USB connection to the transmitter for reception on any standard FM radio. Power for the transmitter is provided through the USB port and therefore there are no batteries required. The transmitter offers a choice of 7 frequencies selectable though an easy to change DIP switch. The frequency is PLL (Phase-Locked-Loop) synthesized for high-quality stereo reception. It also offers a stereo audio output jack so that you continue to listen to the audio on your existing speakers at the same time as the transmitter is connected to the computer. Applications MP3 Music Jukebox: Transmit your MP3 music files or any other audio from your computer to your home stereo system or FM radios around the house or office. Internet Radios: Transmit internet radio stations from your computer to standard FM radios around the house or office. Car MP3 Player: Transmit audio from your portable computer to your car stereo system without complicated wiring And many more Specifications: FCC Certified (FCC ID: SCSUX300) 30 to 50 foot Range Powered by USB port Plug-and-Play USB device Transmission frequencies: 106.7, 106.9, 107.1, 107.3, 107.5, 107.7, 107.9 MHz Supported operating systems: Windows 98, 98SE, Me, 2000, XP, 2003 Mac OS X, Mac OS X 10, Mac OS 9 Zero-drift Phase-Locked-Loop (PLL) Design Output power: 250 uV @ 3m (Limited per Part 15 FCC regulations) Frequency Response: 40 Hz - 15 KHz Channel Separation: 40 dB (Typical) Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.1% (Typical) Incorporates line output Includes USB cable and telescopic antenna Dimensions: 2.5" x 5.4" x 1.1"
Be "On Air" with your own radio station! This transmitter is an exciting product that will broadcast a high quality stereo signal in the 88 100MHz FM band. It can be connected to any type of stereo audio source such as personal computer, CD player, Walkman, television, tape deck or stereo system to transmit stereo sound with excellent clarity throughout your home, office, yard or camp ground. It can also be used in a car to play CDs through your car radio when attached to a personal CD player. Other applications could be listening to a satellite radio station through any FM radio. In addition, it can be connected to your personal computer or laptop to enable listening to Internet radio stations or pre-recorded digital music (such as MP3 files). The circuit includes a 9V battery snap and a 3.5mm stereo jack mounted right on the board for easy connection to any audio source. An ON/OFF switch as well as an "On-Air" LED indicator are also incorporated on the board. The circuit is based on the popular BA1404 stereo broadcaster IC which contains all the complex circuitry for generating the stereo FM signal. A 38 KHz crystal provides a stable subcarrier for the stereo signal. The oscillator circuit is stable enough for reliable reception even on digitally tuned FM radios. Separate right and left input level adjustments are also included. Specifications: Supply voltage: 6 - 9V DC (Includes snap for 9 volt battery, 12V DC with minor modification) (Need a Power Supply?) Frequency adjustable: 88 to 100MHz Power consumption: < 20mA Power Output ~ 1mW Transmission range: approx. 400 feet (unobstructed) Input sensitivity: adjustable from 50mV Channel separation: > 30dB Includes 3.5mm stereo jack L: 3" W: 2-1/8" H: 1". Any FM receiver can be used to listen to broadcast.

CANUK111 - FM Transmitter With Microphone - Longer Range (Assembled) - $21.95
Sound turns on the transmitter, which operates in the FM radio band. The volume of sound needed to trigger the circuit is adjustable. Great for a baby monitor. The two stage transmitter has good range and the circuit powers down unless it hears sounds; reactivates with a sound. Operates on two double AA batteries (use a 9 volt to increase range) DIY Kit 28. Specifications: L: 2-1/2" W: 1-1/2" H: 3/4". Requires 2 - AA volt batteries. (or Use this Power Supply instead of a Battery) Sensitivity user selectable.
