TEACHERS REFLECTION
The role of a school teacher has always been vital in the all around personality development of the pupils. In fact, a teacher is a role model influencing every facet of the pupils growth and developing their innate potentials in addition to being a motivator, guide and friends. Besides, the teacher of today is also responsible to enable and empower the learner to emerge as a completed youth. In fact, a teacher on the challenges of the rapidly changing world. Hence, it is imperative that the teacher continuously upgrades his/her knowledge and methodology in order to enhance the quality of teaching. If the quality of teaching is good and the commitment of teacher is high, the standard of the institution is bound to rise. As a teacher, it is my duties and responsibilities to lead pupils toward the fulfillment of his/her potential for intellectual, emotional, psychological, and social growth. It is also my responsibility to stimulate on the part of the pupils assigned to me by providing a good environment and by guiding sound curriculum experiences and activities in the classroom, the school, and the community. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Other duties and responsibilities of a teacher like me are as follows; To develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Prepare classes, and show written evidence of preparation upon request of my immediate superior. Assist pupils in setting and maintaining standards of classroom behavior. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect pupils, equipment, materials, and facilities and responsibility for the neatness on his/her room and the proper care of all the furniture and visual aids. Evaluate pupils progress on a regular basis. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct record as required by law. Be available to pupils and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under the reasonable meetings.

Comply with and enforce school rules, administrative regulations and school policies. Attend and participate in faculty, District, Division meetings as well as other professional meetings. Cooperative with other members of teaching staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods. Accomplish reasonable special assignments as assigned by the principal. Provide his/her own professional growth through an ongoing program of study, including workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced course work at institutions as of higher learning.
