A LIGHT

In Darkness

Power

To Heal Any Situation To Reveal Truth in the midst of Obscurity To Supply Every Need
In my book, The War Journal (1999-2010) Volume I, there is a vision from God concerning the power that has been placed within every believer of Jesus Christ. What I saw was truly a treasure hidden inside of earthen vessels. As each believer obeyed the Spirit of God, a light would emanate from their being, but this was no ordinary light. This vast array of light began inside the believer and it carved a significant path of light through the darkness where ever he or she walked. The path of light appeared instantaneously and it left a permanent imprint upon the earth. More impressive was the powerful impact that was made upon the lives of everyone along the path. As this path of light moved through the darkness, it caused all the goodness of Gods heavenly supply to pour upon the people. As the obedient believer followed the voice of Gods Spirit, everyone along their path would receive what they needed from heaven. I saw demoniacs immediately placed in their right minds. Blind eyes were immediately opened. Lame people walked and those having any kind of lack, suddenly found an abundant supply poured upon their lives. There was an abundance of wealth, health and peace upon everyone the obedient believer encountered. This vision reminded me of how Jesus did some of his greatest miracles as he was on his way somewhere else. Most notable was when Jesus was on his way to heal Jairus daughter. As he passed by, along his path, a woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of his garment and was immediately healed. 1 It was not unusual for people along the path to get healed when they touched the hem of Jesus garment while he was walking by. Jesus is the Light of the world, and that same light is imparted to believers as they follow him. 2 This light enables believers to release healing and restoring power in the earth, even without human contact. We saw this demonstrated in the Book of Acts when people laid the sick along the streets so that as Peters shadow passed they would be healed. 3

In this vision I saw the supernatural power of God move upon people unaware. People were transformed in an instant and they never saw what hit them. They only knew that they had received a miracle from God. It was then that I realized how vital it is for believers to obey God. Its not about us. Its all about allowing God to step out of heaven to meet the needs of people on earth. In this vision no one was intentionally seeking God at the moment of transformation. Even the obedient believers had no clue what was going on around them. They were just on their way to the place where God was sending them. It was if God chose to come down and pour himself out on those whom he loved. All he needed was a person to obey his initial command. As believers, we are told to let our lights shine but this only happens when we obey God. This vision showed how just one act of obedience can cause the windows of heaven to open upon multitudes of people everywhere. I asked the Lord to explain the light inside of believers. He said it was Eden. Eden is a place that God custom designed for man. Within Eden is every heavenly and earthly necessity; not just to survive, but there exists more than enough supply of wealth and resources to fulfill every work under heaven. At creation, God created the Garden of Eden and placed Adam in the garden to cultivate it and keep it. 4 After Jesus came to earth, God placed a spiritual Eden inside the hearts of men. Jesus referred to this spiritual Eden as the Kingdom of God that resides inside the heart of men.5 Now, each believer is responsible for cultivating and keeping the Eden that inhabits their hearts. We cultivate Eden by devoting our hearts, mind and energy towards displaying Gods love in the earth. Imagine days of heaven upon the earth. It all begins when one becomes a believer in Jesus Christ. Jesus said that a man cannot even see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again. 6 This process involves God depositing his Spirit within the heart of every new convert. The Spirit of God reveals the kingdom to the believers heart. As one becomes obedient, then what the Spirit reveals will manifest in the earth. The power of this spiritual process is the law of multiplication. As we walk out the revelation we see, it causes other manifestations to happen all around us. Our simple seed of obedience causes a multiplied harvest of benefits to fall on others as well. Then, the more seeds of obedience we sow, even more harvests will be multiplied everywhere we go. If every believer would make a conscience effort to obey God with consistency, we could transform the entire world with Gods goodness. After all, that was the original plan given to Adam, and now that Eden resides within us, we are expected to obey the same command to be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth; subdue and dominate it.7 Psalm 23 echoes this same message in a slightly different way. If the Lord is our shepherd we will neither lack nor want for anything. If we let God lead us, we will carve a path of righteousness through the dark valleys and shadows of death. On this path we will not only find our supply of peace and provision, but God will fill our cup until it overflows. Surely, Goodness and Mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives, and out of the abundance of this overflow God will supply every need of every person we pass along the way.
