Purpose
This guide describes the steps required to install PPM Optimization Workbench 00010. The guide is not intended to address the implementation steps that will be required to make the functionality accessible through either the Client SAP Enterprise Portal or website. It specifies the sequence of the installation activities and their dependencies. The target groups for this guide are the following: Technical consultants Application consultants Project team members SAP Customer IT department
Integration
PPM Optimization Workbench 00010 runs on the SAP NetWeaver Application Server (SAP NetWeaver AS) Component of SAP NetWeaver 7.02 with SP06 or higher. The guide does not address the implementation steps that will be required for SmartOrg Portfolio Navigator 4.0 or SAP Business Objects 3.1/4.0 setup. These setup steps are covered in separate documents. SmartOrg Portfolio Navigator 4.0 is typically setup by SmartOrg analysts, occasionally in SaaS (Software As A Service) model.
Large implementation (over 10,000 project transfers per day) 4GB of RAM, CPU = 2500 SAPS Small & mid-size implementations 50 to 900 MB of RAM, CPU = 50 to 250 SAPS Disk/storage space requirements are very insignificant. SAP Enterprise portal, patch levels corresponding to underlying NetWeaver stack levels 7.02 S06. SmartOrg Portfolio Navigator 4.0 fully configured installation (Optional, only required for reporting functionality) SAP Business Objects 3.1 or higher installation
tp and R3trans levels have to match SAP requirements for patch requirements in NetWeaver 7.02 SP 06. Current SPAM / SAINT Update
SPAM / SAINT update levels have to match SAP requirements for support package level requirements in NetWeaver 7.02 SP 06. Check whether the following prerequisites are met in your system:
1. Activate CI_RPM_ITEM_ATT structure if its not active already. This step is not necessary if SAP PPM 5.0 has been installed, activated, and at least one custom PPM field is added in the system. If this is a brand new installation of SAP PPM 5.0 then activate CI_RPM_ITEM_ATT structure after inserting one DUMMY field into it as it is shown in the screenshot below.
For installations in systems with closed configuration one can use a transport of such activation change from a development system.
2. Insert the Add-On Installation CD or make it available via general disk storage Extract the Add-On package such that S210020598664_0000012.PAT file is in EPS/in directory.
3. Log on to your SAP system in client 000 and as a user that has SAP_ALL authorization. Do not use the user SAP* or DDIC. 4. Loading add-on package into the system These instructions contain steps for loading the add-on from application server. Load the packages into your system from application server using transaction SAINT. For more information about this, see the online documentation for Add-On Installation Tool. To do this, choose the help function in the application toolbar and navigate to Online Docu Loading Installation Packages.
Choose the menu path 'Installation Package -> Load Packages -> From Application Server'.
Confirm the package directory (default /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in) Click Start to start the installation Highlight the PLATDB Add-On and click Continue
