TROPICAL CYCLONE CONDITION OF READINESS Purpose: Define task required by medical clinic staff for each Tropical Cyclone

Condition of Readiness (TCCORs) TCOR 4 (TC-4): Destructive winds of 50 knots or greater expected within 72 hours. The Facility Management Disaster team will:

Inventory and stock typhoon readiness supplies as specified on inventory list (see attachment 1) Monitor Armed Force Network radio and television or commanders information channel

TCOR 3 (TC-3): Destructive winds of 50 knots or greater expected within 48 hours The Facility Management Disaster team will:

Assemble in the MERC shop to complete the remaining steps Review TCCOR task Preposition typhoon readiness supplies into MERC shop Ensure OMEE takes appropriate actions to secure Medical Group buildings as specified in the contract

TCOR 2 (TC-2): Destructive winds of 50 knots or greater expected within 24 hours The Facility Management Disaster team will:

Ensure all previous TCCOR tasks are complete Remove all lose items from outside the Medical Group buildings (trash cans, VIP signs, parking cones, etc.). Items will be stored in the building where items are used Ensure OMEE is taking appropriate action to secure Medical Group buildings as specified in the contract Preposition sand bags at all entrance/exits to the facility Ensure all building occupants close and secure all windows, lower and secure blinds and curtains.

TCOR 1 (TC-1): Destructive winds of 50 knots or greater expected within 12 hours The Facility Management Disaster team will: Ensure OMEE has taken the appropriate action to secure medical clinic as specified in the contract Apply tape to large exposed glass areas in a X configuration Disconnect non-essential equipment from electrical outlets Move all equipment, furniture and other loose items to a protected part of the building away from doors and windows

Sand bags at all entrance/exits to the facility

TCOR 1 Caution (TC1C): Destructive winds of 50 knots or greater emanate within 12 hours The Facility Management Disaster team will: Maintain previous posture and take action based on current weather conditions TCOR 1 Emergency (TC1E): Destructive winds of 50 knots or greater are occurring The Facility Management Disaster team will: Maintain previous posture and monitor the radio and television for storm activity TCOR 1 Recovery (TC1R): Destructive winds of 50 knots or greater are no longer being experienced and recovery base recovery is in progress The Facility Management Disaster team will report to Medical Group buildings: Report damage, fire and security problem to MCC Perform security checks throughout Medical Group buildings Clean-up water leaks within the building Cover items with plastic covers where leaks occur STORM WATCH (TC-SW): Typhoon continues to move away and winds are gradually diminishing The Facility Management Disaster team will: Perform a thorough damage assessment to all medical facilities with OME contractor Report findings to MCC Remove sand bags from entrance ways Remove tape from windows Assist in clean-up ALL CLEAR: All tropical cyclone danger has passed. Be alert to possible damage and hazardous conditions The Facility Management Disaster team will:

Supervise and coordinate repairs to the medical facility Inventory and replace deplete supplies from typhoon readiness kit Review and assess TCCOR task Updates TCCOR readiness task plan as required Store typhoon readiness kit Collect and return all supplies to the typhoon readiness kit

Return all loose items removed during preparation to their original place (trash cans, VP signs, parking cones, etc.)
