Safety Instructions
Please read and observe the following safety precautions thoroughly in order to prevent or reduce injuries to persons or damage
to objects.
Electrical safety
-- This device has to be earthed (grounded) to prevent electrical shock hazard.
-- Certain electronic components in the monitor require up to 2,5kV to operate properly. In order to prevent potentially lethal
electric shock it is essential to disconnect the device from its power source during installation, and prior to servicing or repair.
Some capacitors will remain charged with dangerous voltage levels even after the power is off. In order to prevent electric
shock wait several minutes for these capacitors to become completely discharged before continuing.
-- Do not operate the monitor where it will be rained up, or near water where it can become moist, or near excessive heat or direct
sunlight, or in any extreme of heat or moisture. Use under such conditions could result in electric shock, fire, or failure of the
device.
-- If smoke or noxious odors, or unusual noise should come from the device, turn the power off immediately. If the device is
incapable of monitoring a picture after power has been turned on, turn it off. Do not attempt to operate it under these conditions.
-- Do not damage the power cable of the monitor. Do not attempt to modify it.
-- Do not operate this device if any cables are damaged.
-- To disconnect the device from the power supply, the power cord must be removed from the power outlet.
-- Do not attempt to remove the back cover, as you will be exposed to a shock hazard. Qualified service personnel should only
remove the back cover.
Precautions
-- Do not spill liquid on the device. If any liquid entered, turn the device off immediately and unplug the mains and take it to your
supplier for assessment.
-- Do not drop the device or subject it to excessive bumping and jamming.
-- Do not obstruct, cover or poke objects into the device.
-- Clean the device only when it is switched off and unplugged. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the device; do not use alcohol
or ammonia-based products.
-- Do not place objects on top of the information display cabinet, which could fall into vents or which could cover them and prevent
proper cooling of the monitor’s electronics.
-- Do not expose the information display to rain or excessive moisture to avoid the risk of shock or permanent damage to the
set.
-- Consult a service technician if the information display does not operate normally when the operating instructions are followed.
-- The front screen is made of glass. If the monitor is exposed to an excessive load (e.g. shock, vibration, bending or heat shock)
the glass surface could break. Do not subject the glass surface to any pressure or knocks.
If the front screen is cracked, do not touch it with your bare hands.
Conformity
This unit is an LCD/TFT monitor and complies with the following directives of the European Union :
-- EMC Directive 2004/108/EC
This device is a class A equipment. It can generate EMI interferences when used in residential areas; in this case
the owner may be requested to perform adequate actions to counteract the EMI emissions and has to take over
the financial responsibility required for the adequate actions.
-- Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC
-- 2002/95/EC (of 27. January 2003 directive of the european parliament and of the council on the restriction of the use of certain
hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS))
-- 2002/96/EC (of 27. January 2003 directive of the european parliament and of the council on waste electrical and electronic
equipment (WEEE))
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for operation outside of the operating conditions described in these operating
instructions. Moreover, your product liability and warranty rights shall lapse as a result of this.
Disposal and recycling

This unit has been produced largely from materials that can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner and that can
be properly recycled. After use the unit will be taken back for reuse or recycling, provided that it is handed back in a condition
that corresponds with its use having been in compliance with the intended use. Any non-recyclable parts of the set will be
disposed of in the proper manner.
All packaging materials can and should be recycled.

Cleaning
Before you start any cleaning, turn off the unit and disconnect the mains plug from the plug outlet.
Cleaning the front glass

Use a commercially available glass cleaner together with a soft cloth to clean the front glass.
Do not use any abrasives!
Cleaning the casing

Do not use any chemical solvents or cleaning agents for cleaning the casing, otherwise the surface of the unit could get damaged.
If you clean the surface of the casing with a wet cloth, drops of water can get inside the unit, which will cause malfunctions.
ENGLISH
Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment for cleaning the ventilating openings.
Unpacking and check the shipment details

After unpacking, please check the LCD/TFT Ship display for possible transportation damage and ensure that the delivery is
complete. The supplier can only accept claims for transportation damage if you advise them of this before starting to use the unit.
If any part of the delivery is missing, please contact our service hotline. Please keep the original packing in the event you have
to return the display unit.

After unpacking the shipping carton, check if you have received the following items:

Control panel
Open / close the OSD menu.

Close the sub menu.
Select the next menu item.

If the menu is not active, you can select the inputs with this button.
Opens the chosen menu (e.g. Setup).

If “ ” in a menu item is displayed, you can open the next sub menu or execute of the chosen function.
Increase the parameters (e.g. brightness).
Select the next setting (e.g. sharpness).
Increase the backlight brightness.
Decrease the parameters (e.g. brightness).

Select the previous setting (e.g. sharpness).
Decrease the backlight brightness.
Status LED
Green : the display is switched on and a sync signal is available
Red : the display is switched off (Soft Power Off)
Orange : the display is in the standby mode (DPMS)
Green flashes : the display is switched on and a sync signal is not available
Red flashes : the display is switched off because of excess temperature resp. subnormal
temperature
All changes of settings in the OSD-menu are stored immediately !

The values shown in the following menus or selected functions are examples and do not refer to the delivery status.
The OSD menu is opened with the last used menu (Picture, Display, or Setup).
If a signal is pending at any input, no settings can be carried out in the OSD-menu.

Colour Balance
S With the button select the menu option <Color
Balance>.
You have four possible options:
Normal, Cold, Warm and User. Use the buttons /
to select between the options.
The options Normal (~7300°K), Cold (~9300°K) and
Warm (~6500°K) are constant colour temperature
values.
If you select <User>, under the menu option <User
Minibar for the adjusting of the parameters
Colour Temperature> you can adjust the three primary
colours (red, green and blue) individually to suit your
taste.
The menu option <User colour temperature> appears
only if <User> is selected.
DNC (Dynamic Noise Control) only with used CVBS or

YC input (see page 8)
User Colour Balance

Adjust the three primary colours (Red, Green and
Blue) one by one to suit your taste.
S With the button select the menu option <User
Color Balance>.
S Press the button to open the submenu.
S Select with the button the menu option <RED
Gain>, <GREEN Gain> or <BLUE Gain>.

S Use the buttons or to adjust the colour
correction.
Dynamic Noise Control (DNC)

Poor video signals can generate disturbing picture
noise. DNC dynamically adapts the effect of the digital
noise suppression to the picture content.
S Select with the button the menu option <DNC>.
S Press the button to increase the noise
reduction.
S Press the button to decrease the noise
reduction.

Gamma
Adjustment of the Gamma correction.
The colour values will be provided with the specified
factor and sent to the display.
S Choose with the buttons the menu option
<Gamma>.
S Press the button , the Gamma correction is
increased.
S Press the button , the Gamma correction is
reduced or switched off.
Setting range: Off, 1 to 5
Minibar for the adjusting of the parameters Zoom

formats.
Picture formats for video signals :

S Aspect Ratio
This format setting displays the picture with the
correct side ratio. In the case of 16:9 format black
bars are visible at the top and bottom.
S Fill all
In this format setting the picture is adapted in
horizontal direction so that a screen-filling display is
always visible. In the case of letterbox black bars
are visible at the top and bottom.
S Auto Zoom
This function evaluates the currently available
picture format and switches over automatically
between 4:3 and 16:9.
S Panorama
This format setting scales the input signal
automatically in horizontal and vertical directions so
that it is screen-filling, but not linearly, i.e. the picture
contents in the centre of the screen are displayed
as the original and towards the edges more intense
scaling takes place.
S 14:9 Top
Picture in 14:9 letterbox format with subtitles.
S 14:9
With a 14:9 zoom the picture is enlarged vertically
by a total of 15 %, i.e. approx. 15 % of the picture
content is cut off vertically. Horizontally the picture
is reduced in size in comparison with the full picture
display by 15 %, i.e. narrow bars are displayed on
the right and left.
S 16:9 Top
Picture in 16:9 letterbox format with subtitles.

In this mode the picture is scaled horizontally to the
complete picture width, approx. 25 % in total being
cut off the top and bottom of the picture.
This mode should be used for the full screen display
of 16:9 letterbox video material (with a black bar at
top and bottom).
Picture formats for PC signals :

S Aspect Ratio
Displays the PC picture without changing the side
ratio.
Dark stripes are visible on the top and bottom-hand
edges of the picture depending on the input format
of the PC picture.
S Fill all
In this format setting the picture is adapted in
horizontal and vertical directions so that a full
screen display is always visible.
S One by One
With this setting the number of screen pixels is
adapted to the input signal, i.e. 1280 x 1024 pixels
are always reproduced by the PC picture for a
screen resolution of 1280 x 1024.
Freeze picture
You can look at a freeze picture of a running image
sequence.
<Freeze picture>.
S Press the button to switch on the freeze picture
function.
S Press the button to switch off the freeze picture
function again.
S Press the button so often until that OSD menu

is closed.

DPMS (Display Power Management Signaling)

Energy Saving
<DPMS>.
S Use the / buttons to switch on/off the DPMS.
Signal Info DPMS On
If the monitor connected with a computer, the monitor
is switched off when a sync signal is left. The power
consumption is reduced strongly.
The Energy Saving System works only, when in the
connected computer a VESA DPMS-compatible
graphics card was installed.
DPMS Off
The monitor is switched on permanently.
If the menu option <Source Scan> set to on, the Signal
Info changes between DVI-D, VGA, DVI-A, CVBS, and
YC.
If the menu option <Source Scan> set to off, the Signal
Info is displayed of the last used input.
Setup Menu with the used Source Scan

VGA input or DVI-A input S Choose with the button the menu option
<Source Scan>.
S Use the / buttons to switch on/off the Source
Scan.
Source Scan On
The inputs are scanned automatically whether a signal
is present.
Source Scan Off
The inputs must be chosen manually.
S To toggle between inputs, press the button for
approx. 2 seconds.
With “External Source Select” activated for the manual
input switching via the connection “CONTROL”, the
Source Scan is disabled.
The input chosen by the “External Source Select” is
always acting.
A manual selection of the signal input is not possible.
The menu option <Inputs> is hidden.

Timing mode (from mode table).

This function will now attempt to find the optimal
picture settings for the pending signal. During
setting the picture will move slightly back and forth.
The following settings can also be changed manually.

S You can change the vertical position of the picture

Phase
S To eliminate flicker and distortion you can change
the phase position of the picture here.

Alternative Mode
S The mode table contains identical timings which
have the same number of lines, and horizontal
frequency, but distinguish in number of H-Total,
and H-Active.These modes cannot be detected
clearly.
Due to that alternative modes can be adjusted here.
The ”AUTO” setting has the effect that automatic
mode selection will be carried out.
This menu option is available only if the input signal
fits to several Mode ID’s in the mode table.

Using the option <Time Out> you can change the
display time (duration from last activation until display
closes) of the OSD menu.

to 10mm2 and must be connected as short as possible
to the foundations for earthing purposes!

Troubleshooting advices
If trouble occurs!
-- When trouble occurs, turn the power OFF immediately and contact your dealer.
If smoke comes out of this unit or a bad strange noise comes out, continuing to use the unit can cause a fire or electrical shock.
Immediately, unplug the keyboard cable from the outlet and contact your dealer.
-- Absolutely do not remove the top cover.

Leave inspection, adjustment and cleaning of the interior to trained persons.
-- Do not put anything inside.

If liquid or a foreign object should get inside accidentally, turn the power OFF immediately, unplug the power cord from the

outlet and contact the CONRAC service department. Continuing to use the unit can cause a fire, electrical shock or breakdown
of the unit.
If there is any fault, which cannot be corrected on site, please contact your dealer or our service staff. Because of the modular
structure of the system, it is possible to repair the transmission system quickly and at low cost. Only trained people according
BGV A3 and the EU directive EN50110-1 are allowed to have access to the unit exceeding user specific external adjustments,
especially the removal of the protective shields.
Repair of the monitor by any other than authorised repair personnel will invalidate the warranty.
The monitor may be returned to the factory for repair. When doing so, please include the following information:
-- Indicate the symptoms of the defect. State as completely as possible, both on the tag and on your order, the exact nature of
your problem. If the problem is intermittent, please say so in your description of the display’s performance.
-- Include any special instructions, which indicate, whether the system has been changed or modified and whether it is desired
to retain the modified form.
-- Indicate the desired invoicing procedure and whether or not prior cost approval is required before proceeding with repairs.
If it is not indicated, repair work will follow standard policy.
-- Use for this purpose the RMA forms in the appendix.

Inbetriebnahme
Bitte lesen Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise sorgfältig durch, um Schäden an Personen oder Gegenständen zu vermeiden.
Elektrische Sicherheit
-- Der Monitor erzeugt intern Spannungen bis zu 2500V. Bei der Installation, Pflege und Reparatur ist der Monitor immer auszu-
schalten. Warten Sie nach dem Ausschalten noch einige Minuten, damit sich auch die internen Kondensatoren vollständig
entladen können.
-- Betreiben oder installieren Sie den Monitor niemals unter Umgebungsbedingungen, die von denen der technischen Spezifi-
kation abweichen. Hierzu zählen vor allem dauerhafte hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit, Regen, zu nahe an Wasser, Feuer, Heizungen
und Öfen oder dauerhafte Aussetzung von direktem Sonnenlicht oder ähnlichem. Abweichende Betriebsbedingungen
können zu elektrischer Gefährdung, Feuer oder Ausfall des Monitors führen.
-- Schalten Sie den Monitor sofort aus, wenn Rauch, unangenehmer Geruch oder ungewöhnliche Geräusche aus dem Monitor
kommen. Verfahren Sie in derselben Art und Weise, wenn der Monitor nach dem Einschalten oder während des Betriebs kein
Bild mehr darstellt. Versuchen Sie niemals, den Monitor in diesem Zustand weiter zu betreiben.
-- Vermeiden Sie eine Beschädigung der Anschlusskabel.
-- Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht mit beschädigten Anschlusskabeln.
-- Versuchen Sie nicht das Gehäuse zu öffnen, da Sie sich so der Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages aussetzen. Überlassen
Sie die Servicetätigkeiten nur ausgebildeten Servicefachkräften.
Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
-- Schütten Sie keine Flüssigkeiten in den Monitor. Falls es doch passieren sollte, schalten Sie den betroffenen Monitor sofort
aus, trennen Sie es von der Versorgungsspannung und kontaktieren Sie Ihren zuständigen Servicetechniker.
-- Lassen Sie den Monitor nicht fallen und setzen Sie ihn nicht mechanischen Belastungen aus, die über denen eines normalen
Gebrauchs hinausgehen.
-- Decken Sie den Monitor niemals zu und versuchen Sie nicht, Gegenstände durch die Lüftungsöffnungen zu stecken.
-- Reinigen Sie den Monitor nur im ausgeschalteten und netzgetrennten Zustand. Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung des Monitors
ein leicht feuchtes Tuch. Auf Alkohol oder auf Ammoniak basierende Reinigungsmittel sind nicht geeignet.
-- Legen Sie keine Gegenstände auf das Gehäuse des Monitors. Diese könnten durch die Lüftungsöffnungen fallen oder eine
ausreichende Kühlung des Monitors verhindern.
-- Schützen Sie en Monitor vor Regen und übermäßiger Feuchtigkeit. Damit verhindern Sie das Risiko eines elektrischen
Schlages und die Schädigung des Monitors.
-- Kontaktieren Sie Ihren zuständigen Servicetechniker, wenn der Monitor trotz Beachtung der Bedienanweisungen nicht
normal funktioniert.
-- Die Frontscheibe besteht aus Glas. Sollte der Monitor übermäßiger Belastung (z.B. Schock, Vibration, Biegung und Hitze-
schock) ausgesetzt werden, könnte die Glasfläche brechen. Setzen Sie die Glasfläche keinem Druck oder Schlag aus.
Sollte die Frontscheibe gesprungen sein, so fassen Sie dieses nicht mit bloßen Händen an.
Konformität
Der vorliegende Monitor entspricht den folgenden Richtlinien der Europäischen Union:
-- EMV-Richtlinie 2004/108/EC
Dieses Gerät entspricht den Anforderungen der Klasse A. Es kann beim Einsatz in Wohngebieten elektromagneti-
sche Störungen (EMI) verursachen. Möglicherweise muss der Besitzer in diesen Fällen auf eigene Kosten ange-
messene Maßnahmen gegen die EMI-Emissionen ergreifen.
-- Niederspannungsrichtlinie 2006/95/EC
-- 2002/95/EC (vom 27. Januar 2003 Richtlinie des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates zur Beschränkung der
Verwendung bestimmter gefährlicher Stoffe in Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten (RoHS))
-- 2002/96/EC (vom 27. Januar 2003 Richtlinie des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates über Elektro- und Elektronik-Alt-
geräte (WEEE)).
Der Hersteller kann nicht für den Betrieb außerhalb der Betriebsbedingungen, wie in diesem Bedienhandbuch beschrieben,
haftbar gemacht werden. Zudem erlöschen hierdurch Ihre Produkthaftungs- und Gewährleistungsansprüche.
Entsorgung und Recycling

Dieses Gerät wurde weitestgehend aus Materialien hergestellt, die umweltschonend entsorgt und einem fachgerechten
Recycling zugeführt werden können. Nach seinem Gebrauch wird das Gerät zurückgenommen, um es einer Wiederverwen-
dung oder wertstofflichen Verwertung zuzuführen, soweit es in einem Zustand zurückgegeben wird, der dem bestimmungs-

gemäßen Gebrauch entspricht. Nicht verwertbare Geräteteile werden sachgemäß entsorgt.
Verpackungen und Verpackungshilfen sind recyclebar und sollten grundsätzlich wiederverwertet werden.
Auspacken und Überprüfung der Einzelteile

Nach dem Auspacken aller gelieferten Komponenten sind diese auf Vollständigkeit und Transportschäden (Sichtkontrolle) zu
überprüfen. Sollten hierbei Mängel festgestellt werden, benachrichtigen Sie bitte umgehend die CONRAC Serviceabteilung.
Halten Sie bitte Lieferscheinnummer, Identnummer, Seriennummer und die Mängelbeschreibung (RMA-Formulare siehe
Anhang) bereit. CONRAC kann die Haftung für diese Mängel nur übernehmen, wenn sie uns vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme
mitgeteilt werden. Selbstverständlich sind Garantieleistungen von dieser Einschränkung ausgenommen. Für einen späteren
Transport bzw. Versand Ihres Monitors sollten Sie die Originalverpackung aufbewahren.

Grün blinkend : Monitor ist eingeschaltet und kein Sync-Signal vorhanden
Rot blinkend : Monitor ist wegen Über- oder Untertemperatur ausgeschaltet.
Alle Änderungen im OSD-Menü werden sofort gespeichert!

Die in den folgenden Menüs angegbenen Werte oder ausgewählte Funktionen sind Beispiele und beziehen sich nicht
auf den Auslieferungszustand.
Das OSD-Menü wird immer mit dem zuletzt benutztem Menü (Bild, Anzeige oder Setup) geöffnet.
Liegt an keinem der Eingänge ein Signal an, können im OSD-Menü keine Einstellungen vorgenommen werden.

Farbtemperatur

Sie haben vier Möglichkeiten zur Auswahl:
Normal, Kalt, Warm und Benutzer. Benutzen Sie die
Tasten / um zwischen den Optionen zu wählen.
Die Optionen Normal (~7300°K), Kalt (~9300°K) und
Warm (~6500°K) sind festeingestellte Farbtempera-
turwerte. Bei der Option Benutzer können Sie die
Minibar zum Einstellen der Parameter Farbtemperatur individuell einstellen.
Der Menüpunkt <Benutzer Farbtemperatur> erscheint
nur wenn <Benutzer> gewählt ist.

taler Richtung so angepasst, dass immer eine bild-

S Auto Zoom
Diese Funktion wertet das aktuell vorhandene Bild-
format aus und schaltet automatisch zwischen 4:3
und 16:9 um.
S Panorama
Diese Formateinstellung skaliert das Eingangs-
signal automatisch in horizontaler Richtung bild-
schirmfüllend, aber nicht linear. Das heißt, dass die
Bildinhalte in der Bildschirmmitte original darge-
stellt werden und zum Rand hin eine stärkere
Skalierung stattfindet.
S 14:9 Top
Bild im 14:9 Letterbox-Format mit Untertiteln
S 14:9
Bei 14:9 Zoom wird das Bild vertikal insgesamt um
15% vergrößert, d.h. ca. 15% vom Bildinhalt wer-
den vertikal abgeschnitten. Horizontal wird das Bild

im Vergleich zur Vollbilddarstellung um 15% ver-
kleinert, d.h. es werden links und rechts schmale
schwarze Balken dargestellt.
S 16:9 Top
Bild im 16:9 Letterbox-Format mit Untertiteln

In diesem Mode wird das Bild horizontal auf die
komplette Bildbreite skaliert, vertikal wird oben und
unten insgesamt ca. 25% vom Bild abgeschnitten.
Der Mode sollte verwendet werden, um 16:9 Letter-
box Video-Material (mit schwarzen Balken oben
und unten) bildschirmfüllend darzustellen.
Bildformate für PC-Signale :

S Aspect Ratio
Stellt das PC-Bild, ohne Änderung des Seiten-
verhältnisses, dar.
Am oberen und unteren Bildrand sind je nach
Eingangsformat des PC-Bildes dunkle Streifen
sichtbar.
S Vollbild
In dieser Formateinstellung wird das Bild in
horizontaler und vertikaler Richtung so angepasst,
dass immer eine bildschirmfüllende Darstellung
sichtbar ist.
S 1:1
Bei dieser Einstellung wird die Bildschirmpixelzahl
dem Eingangssignal angepasst. D.h. bei einer
Bildschirmauflösung von 1280 x 1024 werden vom
PC-Bild immer 1280 x 1024 Bildpunkte wieder-
gegeben.

Sie können Standbilder von einer laufenden Bild-Se-

Ist der Monitor mit einem Computer verbunden, schal-
tet der Monitor in den Standby-Modus, sobald keine
Synchronsignale mehr anliegen. Der Stromverbrauch
wird deutlich reduziert.
Das Energiesparsystem funktioniert nur, wenn im an-
geschlossenen Computer eine VESA DPMS-kompa-
tible Grafikkarte installiert ist.

Der Monitor bleibt immer eingeschaltet.
Ist der Menüpunkt <Source Scan> auf “Ein” gesetzt,
wechselt das Signal-Info zwischen DVI-D, VGA,
DVI-A, CVBS und YC.
Setup-Menü mit benutztem Ist der Menüpunkt <Source Scan> auf “Aus” gesetzt,

den. Diese Modi können nicht eindeutig ermittelt
werden.
Aufgrund dessen können hier alternative Modi ein-
gestellt werden. Mit der Einstellung “Auto” wird die

Problembehandlung
Wenn ein Fehler aufgetreten ist!
-- Wenn Störungen auftreten, schalten Sie sofort die Stromversorgung aus und wenden Sie sich an die CONRAC Service-
abteilung.
-- Wenn Rauch aus dem Gerät kommt oder ein ungewöhnlicher Geruch oder ungewöhnliche Geräusche festgestellt werden,
so kann die weitere Verwendung des Gerätes zu Feuer oder Elektroschocks führen. Schalten Sie das Gerät sofort aus, tren-
nen es von der Stromversorgung und informieren Sie die CONRAC Serviceabteilung.
-- Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Gegenstände in das Gerät gelangen.
Wenn Flüssigkeiten oder Fremdkörper in das Geräteinnere eindringen, schalten Sie das Gerät sofort aus. Trennen Sie es
von der Stromversorgung und wenden Sie sich an die CONRAC Serviceabteilung. Sie dürfen das Gerät unter keinen Um-
ständen weiter verwenden, da dies zu Feuer oder einem elektrischen Schlag führen kann.
Wenn es irgendeine Störung gibt, die von Ihnen nicht behoben werden kann, treten Sie bitte mit Ihrem Händler oder unserer
Serviceabteilung in Verbindung. Wegen der modularen Struktur des Gerätes, ist es möglich, das Gerät kostengünstig und
schnell und zu reparieren. Nur ausgebildeten Fachkräften gemäß BGV A3 (deutsche Unfallverhütungsrichtlinien) und der
EU-Richtlinie EN50110-1 ist es erlaubt, das Gerät zu öffnen.
Bei Reparatur des Gerätes durch nicht autorisierte Personen erlischt der Garantieanspruch.
