DESIGN AND ENGINEERING

Channeling a warrior-like mindset and implementing a holistic design approach, weve created a patent-pending, hybrid material called PV Pluma Vires. By manufactured design, our entire line of pouches and vests weighs at least 20% less than comparable products available in todays market. In independent testing, products made with PV were shown to be 7 to 10 times more abrasion resistant than any material used by competitors. Improved Wear Resistance Our PV material is a laminate of 500-denier Cordura nylon and 200-denier Kevlar in an ultra-tight weave to maximize abrasion and tear resistance. We use this fabric in high-wear areas such as the corners and edges of plate carrier, pouches, and other exposed components.

Dear Friends, My name is Jason Beck, Founder and President of TYR Tactical. Many people have asked me, Why the name TYR Tactical? In Norse mythology, TYR is the God of War, Victory and Heroism on the battlefield. That image embodies all the things we have developed our company culture around. Your heroic efforts on the battlefield are the inspiration behind our design process. You deserve the best equipment you can possibly get to ensure victory. That is what we strive to create every day here at TYR Tactical. Our approach is to take gear and enhance its overall functionality. This could be as simple as adjusting the pull tab on a zipper to engineering a completely new material that allows us to reduce the overall weight in our pouches, packs and ballistic vests. Whether you are a soldier fighting terrorism in faraway lands or a federal, state, or local law enforcement officer protecting our country from threats foreign and domestic, at TYR, we consider you to be the Next Generation Warrior. We know you are concerned with reducing weight, minimizing bulk and increasing durability. Fighting men who have seen the PICO Assault Plate Carrier are in agreement that its design represents a truly revolutionary leap in the development of a platform for the Next Generation Warrior. When we designed the PICO, we wanted to incorporate all the ergonomic attributes that are needed for a true fighters vest. To achieve this, we needed to create a rugged platform that provides an extremely lightweight and ultra thin carrier while at the same time giving the wearer unprecedented comfort. The PICO is the end result. It is constructed utilizing TYR Tactical's revolutionary PV material which removes excess bulk yet adds critical strength in key high-wear areas. This gives the PICO an extremely low profile. It features both internal and external cummerbunds that stabilize the carrier to the torso and distribute load to the overall carriage system. Its unique design allows the user to rig the PICO to meet the specific requirements of the mission.
PICO ASSAULT PLATE CARRIER

It is available in three different styles: PICO 1 accommodates ESAPI plates PICO 2 will hold SOF threat type plates
including TYRs SOF-1190 as well as Cercom and Ceradyne style plates PICO 3 is designed for Low Vis plates like TYRs LV1191 or Eclipse style plates
All three can be configured with either a fixed Admin Pouch or MOLLE across the front of the carrier. Each style comes standard with a slick flap cover to secure the external cummerbund. An optional modular kangaroo pouch with tabbed bungee cords that holds three 5.56 or 7.62 magazines for fast acquisition is available in place of the flap.

JUMPABLE ASSAULT PACK

The Jumpable Lightweight Assault Pack is made with PV material for incredible strength and abrasion resistance. The main compartment utilizes PV on the entire gusset of the bag and is reinforced with 2 webbing. The back wall of the inside main compartment has generous amounts of webbing to secure extra pouches. It has a pocket built to fit a 100oz hydration bladder and the packs internal frame. Also includes two mesh pockets. The TYR Tactical 7.62 Designated Marksmen Kit (DMK) was designed specifically to meet the needs of long gunners using either an SR25/M110, SCAR-H or the LARUE OBR. The two kits are virtually identical except for the rifle case length and the suppressor cover selection. The rifle case itself securely straps two rifles inside as well as extra mag pouches, etc. It also features a removable shoulder strap and small outer storage pocket. The Marksmen Kits primary contents are built to give the user extreme mission-adaptable capability whether he is running pouches on his vest/plate carrier, COMA harness (found on pages 46-47) or needs to run triple hybrid 7.62 and 9mm pouches. The COMA features TYRs uniquely designed low profile shoulder harness that allows for exceptional load carriage and comfort. The Lower Back Panel is easily adjustable for the height of the wearer and has additional padding for lower lumbar support. The Lower Back Panel also has a low profile storage pocket to provide additional space for food, batteries, etc. that are essential but not immediate action items that can be accessed when not wearing the harness actively.
The Lower Back Panel allows for the adjustability and removal of the cummerbunds depending on the operators needs. They can also be removed and fitted to the PICO Plate carrier. The cummerbunds that are already set up for your load carriage can be simply removed from the rear of the COMA Harness and placed on your PICO Plate Carrier. This allows for less overall weight to be carried and the ability to expand or contract your load carriage needs based on the mission requirements while having your kit configured for both systems. The cummerbunds allow for TYRs PALS/MOLLE Adapter System to be utilized for efficiency of space and load carriage capability. The COMA System comes standard with 3 Row, 8 Column Adapters but others can easily be added if needed. Sizes: Small, Medium, Large, XLarge Wt: 1 lb. 15 oz.

In-stock merchandise normally ships within 1 to 2 business days after the order is processed. New and out of stock products may take up to 2 to 3 weeks to produce and ship. Some items, due to weight, dimensions, or BATF approval, may require additional shipping charges and may take longer to arrive. Express and Overnight Air Express: Orders placed after 1:00pm Mountain Standard time will be shipped the following business day [Call for rates]. The feature-laden TYR Tactical Escape and Evasion Bag is a truly revolutionary step forward in functionality and capability design. Using TYRs patent-pending PV material in critical areas, the bag is lightweight yet incredibly strong, durable and abrasion resistant. The underside of the bags flap closure includes a 10 x 9 clear vinyl pocket for maps or papers that need protection from the elements. The flap also conceals a 9W x 5H x 1D kangaroo pocket that comes standard with a removable, open-top, M4 triple mag pouch and a removable zipper-top attachment that converts the pocket into an enclosed general purpose pouch.
