THE TEXTILE PLANT

STI India Limited is a Spinning & Knitting Unit. Conceived in 1996, the project was completed in December,98. Setup at a cost of Rs.2,000 million (US$ 47 million), with a plant capacity of 68,016 spindles and16 knitting machines, STI India Ltd. is one of the countrys largest single spinning unit of its kind under one roof. The factory building is a triumph of modern industrial architecture, set amidst a vast area of more than 66 hectares of lush-green land near premier management Institute of India, Indore (M.P.). The factory building & residential township are shining examples of true entrepreneurial spirit, which encompasses the fundamentals of an eco-friendly and pollution free environment.

To ensure this, the company has OnLine & Off-Line Process Control Systems at every stage of the production. To meet the highest standards of Uster norms, a young team of highly qualified, dedicated and well experienced professionals, equipped with advanced information & technology at all levels are working through out the process. In-Put, In-Process and Final Inspection & Testing is carried out in its State-of-the-Art Laboratory through out the day. Effective Bale Management Systems, Process Control Observations & Machinery Audits in each & every stage of process minimize the re-occurrences of non conformities and helps to take Preventive & Corrective Action.

STI India Limited immaculately follows BALE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM to ensure uniform dyeability & Zero Barre and Shade Variation defects. 100% MANUAL SORTING of cotton is done to remove contaminations which may come in raw cotton Bales. Over & above this system, VISION SHIELDS WITH POLYPROPYLENE REMOVAL FACILITY are installed in Blow Room Lines which further reduces the contaminations in cotton to the minimum possible level, followed by SIRO CLEARERS on Autoconers. The yarn & fabric of STI has been certified by Oeko Tex mark from TesTex, Zurich according to Oeko Tex Standard 100. Organic Yarns: We Provide Control Union Certificate (formerly SKAL) for supply of organic yarns.

To enhance devotion at workplace and also inculcate good thinking and feeling among the employees which result in peace, harmony and efficient work. To retrain workmen on the various aspect of their working life for enhancing their knowledge and modifying their attitude as per the requirement of the organization, Refresher Training Course is conducted periodically. Need based training is being imparted by internal faculties as well as out side faculties. Executive Development Programmes are organised regularly. Computer awareness programmes for the new developments in the work related areas are being conducted for staff members from time to time. Production employees are working on Roller Skates for reducing fatigue and enjoy with work as well as improving efficiency.

It shows the cohesive sprit of group where it's really a very heartening to see the Chairman and entire work force together at the same table. "SADBHAV" Recreational Centre: A modern recreation centre - Personifying the single minded pursuit of the group to focus on overall growth a well equipped Labour Welfare Centre which caters to various needs of employee and serves as a recreational centre and library. Celebrations: such as Picnic, New Year Eve, Holi, Laxmi pooja (Diwali), Garba Festival and Ganesh pooja are organised for employees during a year. Preventive Health Care: A well qualified experienced Ex-Civil surgeon as medical consultant and Availability of a compounder round the clock. Housing Complex: Situated amid the exotic grandeur of lush green landscapes and beautiful gardens, most modern and well maintained housing complex consisting of separate multi-storey buildings for bachelor and family accommodations. Post Office : A full-fledged Post Office is situated in the Housing Complex. Wages of all the workmen are paid through their Post Office Savings account.
