III. Data Analysis A.

Problem Identification The Naldo Family has several problems identified based on the collected data regarding primary and secondary factors related to health. 1. Vices Despite the fact that Kuya Juan had had a stroke, he still consumes cigarette and alcohol. His alcoholism also leads to violent acts in the house. 2. Poor Insect and Vermin Control The family has no means of controlling these disease-harboring pests except for the usual katol and mosquito nets. 3. Improper Sewage Disposal Sewage just drain in to the canal which can attract flies. 4. Improper garbage disposal though the family reuses some of the wastes, they still do not apply segregation when throwing garbage in the dump truck. B. Problem Prioritization The identified problems were prioritized based on the following criteria a. Vulnerability of the problem to existing technology or susceptibility to existing measures. b. Magnitude of problem (severity and effect on the individual). c. Social concerns especially the concern given by the family to the problem. d. Existing policies or government programs or any public assistance relevant to the solution of the problem.

The problems were then ranked from 1-5 (1 being the least degree and 5 being the highest degree). The products were taken and the identified problem with the highest value is the one that requires most attention. C. Action Plans and Recommendations Problems Identified Poor Insect and Vermin Control Actions Done  Discussed the many diseases that are carried by pests which could affect the childrens health.  Suggested methods of insect and vermin control.  Emphasized the importance of sanitation and proper waste management in controlling pests.  Told the family that improper waste disposal can attract disease-carrying pests.  Suggested ways to properly dispose their garbage.  Taught them recycling, segregation, reusing, composting through an Activity by the class.  Discussed to the family the health hazards of improper sewage disposal such as attracting disease-carrying pests. Plans and Recommendation o Continue to suggest other ways to control pests. o Encourage the family to keep a sanitary lifestyle. o Suggests more ways for waste management.

o Emphasize the importance of management of wastes to ward off disease-harboring animals. o Continue to suggest ways to get enough money for their toilet construction. o Follow-up

 Suggested to allocate the childrens health budget for constructing a covered canal which will drain sewage to the septic tank.  Advised to quit smoking o Continue to educate Kuya and drinking alcohol.
