Checkpoint: Drawing

I feel Leonardo s drawings are intended to express his personal views and opinions. I believe that his drawings often show experiences and nature. I believe he ties in personal experiences such as him being an artist and things he is personally interested in. He often incorporates motion into his drawings. An example of this is when he draws things such as helicopters in motion. I believe that this motion adds detail and more meaning to the art. It helps you understand what the objects are doing and helps you anticipate what would happen next in the scenario. I believe that he wants you to see the picture but also understand what is not only happening at the present moment but what may have happened before and could happen after. I believe the main thing to be noticed about Michelangelo's drawings is that often times when you view the art work you can feel how he felt while creating the piece. He puts a lot of emotion in his work. He connects a lot of his work to his personal life much like Leonardo. He often took his pictures deeper than just external beauty. I believe that he wanted you to truly understand inner beauty. He focused in on the male body a lot. He tried to express the beauty of the human form. I believe that he tried to make more people aware of simple inner beauty. He used lighting to make certain aspects more prominent than others.
