Subject : Opening of college and Payments of Fees for the academic year 2011-12. Dear Parent/Guardian, Seasons greetings! I am happy to inform you that I have taken over the responsibilities as Principal from 01/05/2011. This is my first communication to you and I am extremely happy to do so. 1. 2. V.I.I.T. will re-open on 01/07/2011 for Academic Year 2011-12 on completion of summer vacation. Your son/daughter/ward has to register on the first day, through E.R.P. system in college as before. Please note that attendance on the first day is compulsory, failing which, you will be intimated through SMS immediately. A student joining later than 01/07/2011 will have to be accompanied by parent/s to complete the joining and reporting formalities. Late joining will attract fine. We shall be conducting two parent- teacher meetings in the first semester (tentative schedule; July last week and September last week). Parents are requested to attend the same to know the progress of their ward. One mid-term exam will be conducted in the semester and is compulsory to all the students. The students must pass this mid-term exam with minimum of 40% marks. The results of this exam will be considered during his/her evaluation at the end of the semester. Minimum 75% of attendance for theory and / or term work of practical is compulsory, failing which the term of the student will not be granted. An excerpt of University Rules in this connection is given in Annexure A. We are introducing a new teacher-guardian scheme. Each teacher will look after 15 to 20 students for their problems/issues. The students may talk to their teacher - guardian in this regard. Please note that we have a professional counselor to solve the problems of the students. It is necessary to have I-Card with every student for all the procedures mentioned above. All the students should validate their I-Card after declaration of results. The fee structure and procedure for payment of fees is given in Annexure B

10. Hostel facility: Rooms are available for the students in hostel ( Vishwakarma International Center III) for boys and Vishwakarma International Center I for girls. The fee structure for hostel is given in Annexure C. Due to limited seats, the hostel accommodation for S.E., T.E. and B.E. students will be made available on merit basis. 11. If a student fails in the examination, fees paid will be refunded. Rules and Regulations for B.E. degree course under the Faculty of Engineering for Four Year Degree Course Rule No. 3

No candidate will be permitted to appear for Part I or Part II examination unless he/she keeps term for that part at a college affiliated to the University and produces testimonials from the Principal of the college for: 1. 2. 75% attendance in each head of passing of theory and / or term work of practical as prescribed by the University. Satisfactory completion of the term work prescribed for the part and passing in the term work by securing at least 40% Marks out of the maximum marks prescribed for each term work. The term work shall be assessed by internal and external examiners. Good conduct.
