MISSION Our mission is to empower orphans, infected children, children from a poor background and children at risk; to alleviate

their physical, emotional and financial hardship, enabling them to improve their quality of life, live with dignity and exercise selfdetermination. In this mission our principles are: One: everyone has the right to receive a quality education. Two: everyone has the right to receive an accessible health care that meets their needs. Three: everyone has the right to a meaningful quality of life. Four: everyone has the right to receive worth, respect and dignity. We are assisting the marginalized sectors of the community by providing them with relevant education and information in order to assert their rights and seek improvement of their living conditions with particular emphasis on orphans, disabilities and HIV/AIDS victims. Most of them are Girls who have little chances to get an education.

WHERE WE ARE Current Project Shammah Secondary School

Our objective for this project is to have a school where we can provide children with the care and protection they need. Where we can offer education to children whos background is poor, socially vulnerable, domestically forgotten, neglected, with HIV/AIDS and economically deprived. We put emphasis on education because it is empowering, it gives people the knowledge, skills and attitude to become active and productive members of their communities. Education is a key of life and thus an indispensable component to development. TAGOF is standing on behalf of these children who are not able to speak for themselves, we are speaking on their behalf. We would like to intervene early in the lives of children, believing that education empowers people to improve their socio-economic conditions, their families, communities, countries and future generations. We want to give them life by ensuring they have hope in their future. This is an investment in education that will reap rewards for generations to come.

Shammah Secondary School is a Christian school which is under the Tanzania Amazing Grace Outreach Foundation. The school was opened in January 2011 with five teachers and three others on staff. All students are Orphans of one or both parents who have died by HIV / AIDS We still have a number of Orphans who are on a waiting list but we currently do not have enough room to accommodate them.

Tanzania Amazing Grace Outreach Foundation (TAGOF) was founded in 2006 and is a Tanzania registered NonGovernmental, Non-Profit, and Non-Partisan organization which has been created in Tanzania to focus on youth development, and disadvantaged children. The organization was founded in order to serve orphaned children, street children and families at risk. Children whose parents have low income generally miss secondary education, Orphans and Street Children are denied this privilege altogether. This is why we decided to start our NGO which will stand on behalf and carry the crying voices of this marginalized group to the place or to people whom these children cannot reach by themselves.
