Overview

Graduate from the School of Business at University of Dundee with a 2:1 Degree of Bachelor of Sciences Honours in International Business with French. Hard working, both as a team member and individually with experience of working within the service industry. Proficient in some Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, Power Point and Accountancy software Sage. With strong leadership qualities and effective communication skills I look forward to furthering my career as a Graduate in the Business World.

Career Aims
I have found my degree course both extremely interesting and rewarding. Through this course I have developed a greater understanding and interest in financial management, business strategy, economics of globalization, financial accounting, and looking at how economics can affect the running and growth of a company. I believe my experience and learning could be of value to any conpany and I am keen to further develop the skills that I have learned while at University and during my work experience.

Experience
Intern June 2010- September 2010
My summer placement was with a Spanish outdoor activity company named Turnauga, which is based in Galicia. This company is one of the largest outdoors and adventure activities in Spain. Due to the economic downturn the company needed to diversify and the purpose of my job was to model and introduce new ideas into the companys management and operations. My role was to carry out the following activities:

Turnauga

Work closely with management to establish the typical consumer profile and how they expected to develop sales. Develop web pages and enter information on international markets in Spanish and English. Help anticipate developing business challenges and then use this analysis to try and solve potential problems before they happen Suggested improvements to working methods. Carry out an assessment of the marketing process and identify improvements and modifications to this process.

Achievements: Business experience and understanding of how a company can be affected in a short period of time due to the global economic downturn. Working alone to successfully complete a large scale marketing project from beginning to end. Predicted reduced expenses based on the implementation of the proposed changes after an extensive analysis of the stock in the company. Researching and solving problems, both on my own and with the guidance of others, using resources available within the company. Developing strong communication skills to explain the problems and present the recommended solutions to management.

Fitness First Assistant January 2009- May 2009

Energy plc

I was responsible for managing this gym in the early morning including management of financial operations (such as preparing the tills, and retrieving stock). During the day I dealt with cash, stock levels and provide good customer service as well as dealing with complaints. At night I was responsible for closing the gym including locking the safe and site security. Achievements:

Working within customer services I reported to the Personnel Manager on a daily basis. My responsibilities included delivering great customer service, training new members of staff, stock orders and price updates. Daily tasks also included dealing with any staff problems. Achievements:

Gained a full understanding of how to manage a group of people whilst leading and working as part of a team. Expanded my knowledge of the organization of deliveries and learned how to respond quickly when things did not go as planned.

Personal Information
Interests: I have done ballet and modern dance for eight years following the required exams from the ballet academy. I enjoy music and had the opportunity to learn the piano and acquire the 4 level qualifications from the music school in Santiago de Compostela, during my school years. I also enjoy meeting new people and travelling to different countries to experience different cultures and traditions.
