SigiI magick tends to be a highIy easy, simpIe, comapact and effective magick. I t
is surprising therefore that most magicians do not seek to deveIop and
evoIutionize it, but keep incorporating the known and fairIy accepted parts of it
into other forms of magick. I n the above mind, outIined beIow are two fairIy
advanced techniques. with each, a different approach was taken - one seeks to
enhance the effectivness and the other the ease of use of this magnificent magick.

The hypnotic state offers a vari ety of options from whi ch onIy one wiII be
discussed. The hypnotic state per se tends to be too simi Iar to the monkey state of
mi nd of the waking state. Therefore, a more subtIe approach i s to be taken. The
impIementation of a post-hypnotic conditioning for a triggered reaction seems to
be ideaI for simpIifying the drowning of the si giI process. The post-hypnotic
conditioning shouId be of two parts.

The first part shouId consist of the nuIIing of the mind and the Iosing of the sigiI
into it. This is best when trigered by a time mechanism, a physicaI response or
action. The process is best when evoIved graduaIIy. The aim is, uItimateIy, zero
operation time. More effectivness can be gained if the usuaI procedure of
enfeebIementing of the mind is taken, and the post-hypnotic nuII ing is trigered at
one stage of i t or the other.

The second part of the conditioning is that of induced amnesia. This is the core of
the technique, as most magicians find the bani shing process the hardest one to
perfrom - it may very weII be thought of as a technique of its own. I mmedi ate
amnesi a is usuaIIy the hardest to induce, more effecti ve is to induce sIeep (even if
a short one) that wiII be foIIowed by amnesia. UItimateI y, instead of creating a gap
in memory, the origi naI memories shouId be substituted by different ones.

The above technique, aIthough a fairIy effective one, suffers from quite a few
fauIts, the Ieast of which is the need for a partner, as inducing post-hypnotic
suggestions of such magnitude can hardIy be done by seIf-hypnosis. Another
drawback is the need for a fairIy high suggestabIity - not a common thing, and the
need for the partner to be a good hypnotist, which is a different probIem
aI together. But once the above i ssues are taken care of, the technique offers a
great simpI ification of the whoIe process of sigiI absorbing in generaI and
banishing in particuIar.

I nspite of its great diffi cuIty, Iucid dream sigiI casting is one of the most effective
techniques that sigiI magick consi sts of. Thi s requires the compIete and utter
controI over the techniques of Iucid dreami ng - the most important of which is the
controI over the Iucid dream state and the abiIity to stay asIeep or wake up at wi II.

Picture-oriented sigiIs tend to be more effective then other forms of sigiIs when
deaIing with Iucid dreams. The wish/need is preferabIy defined in the waking state,
aI though the sigiI may be created with equaI effectivity both in the dream or
waking state.

After entering a Iucid dream the magici an may empIoy virtuaIIy endIess tricks for

pIanting the sigiI in the mind. EnfeebIement shouI d be used onIy if one has the
proper controI over hi s dreaming, or eIse one wouId wake up. Sex seems to be the
naturaI candidate for Iucid dream operations of aII kinds, and is most effecti ve
when used to cast sigiI s, as it is usuaI y more enhanced and un-inhibited then sex
in the waking state, not to mention a much better substitute for masturbation
which many magi cians have to resort to due to the Iack of a working partner(s).

After casting the sigiI one shouId try enteri ng a non-Iucid state i n order to forget
the operation. I ndeed, a great pitfaII of the above method is the great difficuIty or
inabIity to induce amnesia. I nstead, the magi cian shouId try to i nduce a state of
great pIeasure and excitation that wiII , hopefuIIy, take one' s mind of the operation.
Practi ce wiII prove that fuII bIown forgetfuIIness is indeed induce-abIe.
