This document describes the difference between all mini-C types.

Difference:
The hardware in the 3026x models are the same. The difference is related to the Inmarsat approvals, and the software settings, however, you can not change model type without having the unit returned to Thrane & Thrane A/S. This means that it is very important ordering the right model type from beginning. 403026C (Spare part no.: S-403026C-THR) SAILOR TT-3000EB Basic mini-C GMDSS system, with SSAS option. The TT-3026C support System EGC, FleetNet EGC and SafetyNet EGC messages - can send SOLAS distress and SSAS alert messages. The unit is Inmarsat approved with a message terminal connected. Before the Ship Security Alert function can be enabled, a code for the unit is needed. This can be obtained via our Order Office. You can enable and disable the SSAS function by the command cfg c xxxxxxxxxxxx TT-3000SSA (Spare part no.: S-403026SSA-THR) SAILOR mini-C Ship Security Alert System. The TT-3000SSA is our standard Ship Security Alert System. It is based on a TT-403026M with 3000SSA option and has its own TT number = TT-3000SSA. The unit support System EGC, FleetNet EGC messages, but can NOT receive SafetytNet EGCs. The unit can send SSA Alert messages, and with software version 2.21 or higher downloaded in the unit, you are allowed to connect a DTE, for messaging.

403026M: Thrane & Thrane maritime mobile tracking system SAILOR maritime mini-C system with messaging capability. TT-3026M support System EGC, FleetNet EGC messages, but can NOT receive SafetytNet EGCs and can NOT send any alert or distress messages. 403026S: Thrane & Thrane maritime mobile tracking system SAILOR maritime mini-C system with Safety Net/EGC and messaging capability. TT-3026S can receive System EGC, FleetNet EGC and SafetyNet EGC's - can NOT send any alert or distress messages. The unit is Inmarsat approved with a message terminal connected. 403026D: SAILOR maritime mini-C system with EGC and non-SOLAS distress (for small boats). TT-3026D can receive System EGC, FleetNet EGC and SafetyNet EGCs can also send nonSOLAS distress. The unit is Inmarsat approved with a message terminal connected. 403026L: Thrane & Thrane land mobile tracking system with alert and messaging capability. TT-3026L support System EGC, FleetNet EGC messages - can send Landmobile Alert.

SafetyNet EGCs are messages related with safety at sea, including weather reports etc.
