FORMAL EDUCATION: Certified English Teacher (TESOL), Teach International, Melbourne, Australia Degree in Nursing, Melbourne, Australia Associate Diploma of Business, Melbourne, Australia Certificate of General Education for Adults, Melbourne, Australia Training Courses: Medical Reception, Melbourne, Australia First Aid (Level 2), Melbourne, Australia Medical Secretary, Melbourne, Australia Advanced Word for Windows 6.0, (Computers), Melbourne, Australia Modern Office Skills, Melbourne, Australia Introduction to Windows 3.1, (Computers), Melbourne, Australia EXPERIENCE: Nurse Practitioner My varied experience in Health Care has allowed me to display my skills in leadership and education. One role was to assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of individualized resident care, which involved educating residents in ways to manage their own wellbeing. Another key role of this position is utilizing many office/medically based software programs. This includes entering personal data derived from information collected for Health Assessments and Asthma management. My administrative experience encompasses answering the telephones and scheduling medical appointments. I deal daily with a range of people, from children to adults from various backgrounds and cultures. I have dealt with sometimes difficult clients, in a tactful and professional manner. I have strong time management and organizational/ planning skills. I strive to be the best I can be with a selfmotivated and enthusiastic approach to my work, independently or within a team capacity. These qualities would be a great asset to your ESL classroom.

Administrative/Teaching Assistant As a team member in a Primary School I assisted children with English/spelling. I encouraged good working habits, mutual respect for peers and subsequently created a co-operative atmosphere to allow students to achieve their personal best. Being involved in educating our future is an exciting prospect for me and working closely with families is an integral part of fulfilling the role of educator. The most important characteristics I can bring to your classroom is the ability to actively listen to the childrens needs, whilst guiding with confidence, patience, tact and enthusiasm. Carer/Tutor In my spare time I care for my brothers children and regularly guide them with their homework tasks. Whilst holidaying in Bali, I undertook the role of Tutor to a Balinese child, teaching spelling, grammar, reading and maths. I have gained an enormous amount personally from these experiences; having worked closely together it has emphasized the importance of trust, warmth and openness. Voluntary Aide Volunteer work at Community Houses and a Migrant Resource Centre gave me the opportunity of expressing my passion for teaching others. Here I was able to organise paperwork for non-English speaking people, and assist families in dealing with the difficulties of settling in a new land. I enjoyed this time immensely, and I hope my desire to help others understand new concepts will be of value to students wishing to learn English. International Travel I have travelled to Indonesia on a number of occasions. My interest in your country, your people and way of life has prompted this application. I have visited many fascinating regions of Bali and would welcome and value the chance to further my understanding of your customs and beliefs. To have an active role in the education and development of your students is an experience I long to fulfill.
