Dedication We, the graduates of 1983, would like to dedicate this year’s yearbook to two very special people, who have contributed so much of their time to St. Bartholomew School. We would like to thank Mrs. Louise Winkle, who has served as secretary of our school for 35 years. She was an extremely conscientious worker always willing to help teachers, students and parents. We would also like to thank Mrs. Helen Napolitano who was a teacher for 17 years. She was a kind, generous, and dedicated woman. She always got her point across without ever raising her voice. It was a pleasure having her for our fifth grade teacher. We wish them both much luck and happiness in their retirement. Christine Albano Agustin Aranquiz Michele D'Angelo Anna Park Richard Rebollo Debbie Saldiveri Maureen Sullivan Dear Graduates, Everyday of our existence is a journey into life that brings us to new and challenging experiences. 4 Graduation is a very important part of this journey. | It is a time to reflect on your accomplishments over the past eight years at St. Bartholomew School. It is a time to look ahead fortified with true Christian values and ideals that prepare you to journey successfully through your high school years. You graduate from St. Bartholomew academically, spiritually and socially prepared to enter a new phase on your continued journey. Share your knowledge and your values. Cherish and use the gifts God has so gener- ously given you. Make each day of your life a living witness to the love and care that Jesus shares with each of us. With St. Paul, your family at St. Bartholomew School prays that, "The Lord Who has begun this good work in you will see it to completion." Congratulations and God bless you. S.Loretta Ferris, 0.P. Now we are approaching one of these special events- GRADUATION. Graduation is memorable to us because we are starting a new beginning and taking on bigger responsibilities, We have reached the point at which we must face more complicated challenges that await us at high school. We must keep the determination: and uplifting spirit that helped us to endure many problems. Until now we have been growing together as a group, but now the time has come for each of us to go our own separate way. It seems only like yesterday that we were first graders entering a new school, with many strange faces that would become our best and closest friends. Somewhere along the line we left behind our childhood and are becoming mature adults. We must look before us and start a new journey toward success and satisfaction in our future lives. We have to keep our faith and trust in God in order to continue the Christian life we have been leading. Our sincere thanks goes to our principal, teachers and staff who have helped us on our way. They have taught us to be responsible men and women who will be able to make mature, moral decisions. We appreciate the support of our parents and friends just for being with us when we most needed then, Without their guiding hand we would not be able to see all the opportunities that are ahead of us, We the graduating class of 1983 will never forget the memories of our years at Saint Bartholomew.
