Professional Experience:
August 2008 till date
Manager Technical Services DWP Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. Responsible for design solutions and presales activity, mostly for the Telecom Sector but not limited to. My job role also includes providing understanding to customers for new or proposed solutions by presentations, Demos and on site POCs. Following are the few projects I would like to mention. Telenor is expanding its MPLS Core Network each year on both axis by adding new core sites and putting new services and each new expansion is a new challenge and making it more complex. I have been the part of the team from the very first day when we started building this network and continue expanding it. We recently Deploy Cisco NAC Solution in Mobilink EDN Network which is one of the most complex network in Pakistan. It was a challenge to put NAC in this network and things gets more complex when we have to choose the most complex NAC design option Out-of-band using VRF-Lite. We recently successfully completed NLC Triple Play Proof of Concept. This project is a rich combination of legacy and modern communication technologies which PAK armed forces currently using and we successfully integrated these technologies of different vendors with triple play network. Design has been completed, POC has been delivered and we are ready for the project delivery. OMV is one of the well known oil exploration company, recently started its operation in Pakistan we have design and deployed state of the art IP Telephony system for them. Telenor is moving forward towards 3G launch in Pakistan, due to high traffic rate and native data services in 3G network the whole network need to be upgraded as a first phase we successfully deploy Core MPLS Network and we are in planning phase to upgrade RAN Aggregation network. We are working on both options NG-SDH and pure Data services based Cisco Mobile Back-haul solution. Recently Deployed and Configured CISCO Wireless LAN Controller in Telenor. My job role is going to be changed from Technical support to solution design but due to my deep understanding and past technical reputation I will continue to serve as a level 1 support for Mobilink.

Telenors EDN Expansion (Security) includes Cisco Firewalls, IPS, VPN Concentrators and CSMARS.

Telenors MPLS Core for R4 network. Project was the first of its kind in Pakistan. Me and my team were the pioneers to deploy GSR 12000 series and CRS-1 Carrier class routers. Base connectivity of this network was STM-4 with the provision to expand up to STM-64. During first phase our deployment range covered the following Eight (8) Core P routers (Cisco CRS-1 4-Slot) Thirty (30) PE routers (8x Cisco 12410 and 22 x Cisco 12006) Two (2) BGP Route Reflectors (Cisco 7206VXR/NPE-G2) Thirty (30) Cisco Aggregation Switches (Cisco Catalyst 3750) Fifteen (15) Cisco IP SLA Routers (Cisco 2811)

United Nation Development Program (UNDP) Data and VOIP Network.

Sr.Netwrok Engineer DWP Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. Standard Chartered Bank (Pvt.) Ltd. As SLA Support (Team Lead) Provided 24 x 7 network support to SCB bank and also responsible for the deployment of new Cisco equipments as well and also managing the team for this project. Pakistan Mobile Communication Limited - Mobilnk (Orascom Telecom). As SLA support (Team Lead) Provided 24 x 7 network support to Mobilink Pakistan and also responsible for the deployment of new Cisco equipments as well and also managing the team for this project. Pakistan Nuclear Regulation Authority (Team Lead) Deployed Cisco ASA 5500 at various locations so that Remote sites can communicate with central site securely over internet. National Centre for Physics (Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad - Pakistan) (Team Lead) Designed and implemented the Campus Network for NCP. Cisco 6509 switches are used as core switches(Cisco 3750E and 3750G series are used at access and distribution layer), ASA 5500 is used for network security and also we have deployed LMS 3.1 for the network management and monitoring where as Cisco 7206-VXR router is used for the WAN connectivity Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (Team Lead) Up graded network by introducing security with the deployment of Cisco Pixfirewall 535 and replacement of core switch 4500 with 6509.

Network Engineer Sysnet Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. ABN Amro Bank Project Provided Installation and support for Cisco 1700, 2600 & 3700 series Routers, 2900 & 3550 series Switches. All branches are connected with either DXX links or Radio Links using OSPF. Also deployed Virtual Private Networks between the different branches using Cisco VPN Cards which replaced the traditional Hardware Encryptors.

Bank of Punjab Project Installed Cisco 1700 series Routers (with VPN Modules) and Cisco ATA 186 at one hundred and eleven branches of The Bank of Punjab using EIGRP. Habib Bank Ltd Security Project Provided installation & support of Safe Nets HA 2000 (High Assurance Gateway) at Habib Banks Head Office and HA 500 VPN Concentrators at 55 remote sites. All sites are connected through TDMA links provided by Skylink.
