HOW IT WORKS...
The Norcon TTU system permits hands-free communication between the booth attendant and the customer. Vox circuitry facilitates ongoing, clear, 2-way conversation at all times as if the two parties were together in the same room. The TTU-1 Talk-Thru Communicator now incorporates circuitry to automatically attenuate the outside channel. If the gooseneck microphone is not used for a period of 30 seconds, the outside channel volume will be reduced approximately 70%. HOW TO INSTALL...
Installation of the TTU-1A is a very simple, one-person operation. All thats needed is a 3 - 4 inch cutout in the barrier. All hardware and cable are supplied. Please specify barrier thickness when ordering. The TTU-1A is supplied with a continuous-duty, 117-Volt power supply which is stepped down to 15 Volts.

The prism shaped units of the TTU-3 are ideal for mounting on a counter top on both sides of a barrier. Yet they allow hands free communications through barriers typically found in banks, cashiers booths, information booths and similar envirornments. Counter-Top 2-Way Talk-Thru Electronic System permitting Off-Hours Back Office Communication
During off hours, when there is no attendant at the front counter, employees in the back office still can talk to your customers, by using the Norcon TTU-302. The TTU-302 system includes two 12" prism-shaped inside units (inside unit A & inside unit B) and one prism shaped outside unit. The inside unit A and outside unit are mounted on the front counter and operate the same way as the basic TTU-3. Inside unit B is mounted in the remote back office. When the customer visits the front counter during the off hours, the customer can push the PUSH TO CALL button which will sound a buzzer in the remote inside unit B. Employees will turn on the inside unit B and talk to the customer. Both inside unit A and inside unit B have their own high-quality electronics and individual power supply. The user can turn on the inside unit at any time. When one inside unit is turned on the other inside unit will be turned off. Only one inside unit will remain operational at any given time. The TTU-302 incorporates the same high-quality electronics as the basic patent pending Norcon TTU-1 TalkThru system. It is a vox system, enabling the attendant and the customer to talk and listen giving easy natural conversation. The TTU-302 provides clear communication even in environments with high ambient noise, shaping the sound for maximum intelligibility. Its compression circuitry decreases loud, annoying sounds. HOW TO INSTALL... The TTU-302 comes ready to operate. Inside unit A and the outside unit are quickly and easily mounted on the counter-top on opposite sides of the barrier. The portion of the unit with the gooseneck microphone and labeled as A goes inside the booth, the unit with the PUSH TO CALL button is mounted outside. The portion of the unit with the gooseneck microphone and labeled as B goes to the back office. An 8 conductors jacketed cable connects unit A and unit B. The TTU-302 is powered by a continuous-duty AC power supply that is stepped down to 15 Volts.

When multiple remote stations are needed to communicate with one master station the TTU-3MS is your best choice. One attendant at the master station can monitor and respond to calls from up to five remote stations. The TTU-3MS allows clear communication to a remote station up to a thousand feet away. The prism shaped master station of the TTU-3MS is ideal for mounting on a counter top. The TTU-3MS incorporates the same high-quality electronics as the basic Patent Pending Norcon Talk Thru system. The TTU-3MS provides clear communication even in environment with high ambient noise by shaping the sound for maximum intelligibility. Its compression circuit decreases loud, annoying sounds. The operator can initiate communication with any remote station by pressing and holding the appropriate push button on the master unit. If two or more push buttons are pressed at the same time the lowest numbered unit will have priority, communication will be allowed to that unit only. A person at one of the remote stations depresses the call origination switch. At the master unit control panel a light will illuminate (and latch) and a buzzer will sound (while the remote switch is pressed) to alert the operator. The operator would respond by pressing and holding the push button switch under the illuminated light (the light extinguishes when the switch is pressed). This enables hands free two way communication between the master unit and the selected remote station.

The TTU-4 Talk-Thru communication system is particularly suitable for low ambient noise environments that require an unobtrusive, yet tamper-resistant voice communication system. The TTU-4s counter-mounted design eliminates the need for cutting into a barrier. Its low-profile installation adds a personal dimension to such situations as inmateto-visitor communications. All the components including the microphones are housed in the sleek, compact units to avoid the hazards that might be encountered in a high-security environment. for applications in security areas, all controls and microphones are recessed to minimize unauthorized adjustment and tampering. All exposed hardware is tamper-resistant.

HOW TO INSTALL...
The TTU-4 comes ready to operate. The prism units are quickly and easily mounted on the counter-top on opposite sides of the barrier. They can be positioned back-to-back (as shown) or randomly.Tamper resistant screws are used for both units. A special tool is furnished for these screws. There are two ways to install the TTU-4: either run the cable between the units through a small hole in the barrier, or under the counter-top (as shown on the back page). The TTU-4 uses a continuous-duty, 117-Volt power supply which is stepped down to 15 Volts.

Monitoring the activities of inmates and patients in highsecurity or sensitive types of areas requires a special kind of communication system. The system must be sensitive enough to deliver clear, intelligible communications in high-ambient noise environments. It must be durable enough to withstand a tough environment. And it must provide a measure of control for those responsible for the inmates or patients. The Norcon TTU-5 is specifically designed to achieve this. It is intended for in-wall installations requiring flushmounting and bullet resistance. It is enclosed in a pair of wall-mounted galvanized steel back boxes with stainless steel rectangular faces. maximum intelligibility. Its compression circuitry decreases loud, annoying sounds. The microphone/ speaker and controls are flush with the panel, assuring a tamper-resistant environment. The operator has access to recessed volume controls.

HOW TO INSTALL...
The TTU-5 unit with the controls goes on the corridor side; the other unit on the inmate or patient side. Simply connect the cable provided to the terminal blocks on the stainless steel plates. Then fasten these plates to the back-boxes using the tamper-proof screws and special tool furnished. The panel on the exterior (corridor) side is connected to a continuous-duty, 117-Volt AC power supply which is stepped down to 15 Volts.

For those times when its impractical, for various reasons, to mount the inside control section of a communicator in a window with a secure gate the Norcon TTU-7 is the communication system of choice. The prism shaped control unit of the TTU-7 is ideal for mounting on a counter top on the interior side of a barrier. The system allows hands free communications through barriers typically found in banks, cashiers booths, information booths and similar envirornments. The TTU-7 incorporates the same high-quality electronics as the basic Patent Pending Norcon TTU-1 Talk-Thru system. It is a vox system, enabling the attendant and the customer to have hands free two way communication. The TTU-7 provides clear communication even in environments with high ambient noise by shaping the sound for maximum intelligibility. The compression circuitry decreases loud, annoying sounds. The TTU-7 Talk-Thru Communicator now incorporates circuitry to automatically attenuate the outside channel. If the gooseneck microphone is not used for a period of 30 seconds, the outside channel volume will be reduced approximately 70%. Normal operation is restored as soon as the attendant speaks into the gooseneck microphone. The automatic volume attenuation circuit prevents outside noise from bothering the attendant. A talk LED indicates the attendants (gooseneck) microphone is activated. The TTU-7 is equipped with a Jack to add a headset or wireless microphone. Simply plug the headset in and communicate. The headset contains light weight construction, a boom mic and a single speaker that covers one ear.

HOW TO INSTALL...
Installation of the TTU-7 is a very simple, one-person operation. All thats needed is a 3 - 4 inch cutout in the barrier. All hardware and cable are supplied. Please specify barrier thickness when ordering. The prism unit is quickly and easily mounted on the counter-top on the inside of the barrier, at a convenient location for the user. A power adapter and all cables are supplied. The TTU-7 is supplied with a continuous-duty, 117-Volt power supply which is stepped down to 15 Volts.
