THE MT. KOPAONIK SCHOOL OF NATURAL LAW Hereby announces to legal and other scholars and professionals in the area of law the OPEN COMPETITION For sending and publishing of written reports for the Twenty fourth annual Conference of participants to the Kopaonik School to be held from 13th to 17th December, 2011, under the permanent title Justice and Law. The general theme of the Conference is LAW AND RESPONSIBILITY Within the framework of the general theme the candidates are free to choose the topic they are interested in, encompassed by the areas of law specified in the following text and elaborated from the standpoint of one or several disciplines. The decision on accepting and publishing the reports shall be taken by the Editorial Board. The authors of published reports are exempted from paying the participation fee. A number of reports shall be published after the authors have been invited. Organizers competition requirements: Size of reports: up to 16 pages. Font: Times new Roman, size 12; 1.5 line spacing. Summary: in English or other world language, maximum 14 lines spaced as indicated above. Footnotes: at the bottom of the page. The report should include the name and surname of the author, his/her function and profession, full home address and contact phone, fax and/or email. The deadline for submitting reports: August 25, 2011, while for foreign participants September 25, 2011. Sending the manuscripts before the indicated deadline shall be particularly appreciated.

Way of submitting the report: manuscript should be sent both in printed and e-mail forms. Written version may be sent by mail or delivered directly to the Jurists Association of Serbia - 74, Krunska Street, 11000 Belgrade; phones 00 381 11 244-6910; fax 00 381 11 244-3024, e-mail: upj@Eunet.rs. A report that fails to meet any of the above requirements shall not be considered. The areas open to the competitors make the traditional Hexagon of the Kopaonik School of Natural Law, and include: I Right to Life (life, health, ecology, sports);

II Right to Freedom (freedom of thought and expression, freedom of personality, freedom of movement, freedom of religion, criminal-law and procedural protection of personality); III Right to Property (property, codification, ownership and other property rights, property and inheritance, denationalization, privatization, taxes and taxation policy, immovable property, contract and tort liability, commercial companies, commercial contracts, banks and banking transactions, insurance, labor relations); IV Right to Intellectual Creation (copyright, industrial property right, right to participate in cultural life); V Right to Justice (general notions, court in connection with justice, independence of judiciary, constitutional judiciary, court practice and the role of courts, international and domestic arbitration, international relations and justice, European Union law, legal protection of refugees and displaced persons), VI Right to a State Ruled by Law (rule of law theory, rule of law and lack of the rule of law in practice). The participants to the Competition may obtain information about the results around October 20, 2011.
