Month 1 – Mind map- Get words associated with the words ‘short’ from pupils.
Jigsaw reading- sequences the jumbled up strips of paragraphs.
Jigsaw picture- arranges the cut out pictures.
Cursive writing – copy their favourite paragraph in cursive writing.
Language games- form small words from a big word.
Dictogloss- write a paragraph after listening to the teacher’s third reading.
Hot seat – A pupil takes over the character and he answers the questions asked
