Globuzz, a corporate symposium, is one of the key annual events organised by students of MBA Global Business. Globuzz is an unmatched platform for the evolution and assimilation of global thought processes, through discussions and debates between leading industry stalwarts and the future thought leaders of the nation. Globuzz-2007 was aimed at creating awareness about the various facets of global issues and their impact on new age global managers and organizations. The theme of 'Emerging Markets: New Center of Gravity', focused on discussions regarding future opportunities, challenges and risks faced by corporate in promising economies across the world. The speakers included Dr Swati Piramal, Director, Nicholas Piramal; Dr Mahesh Vyas, MD & CEO, CMIE; Simen Munter, Dy CEO, HSBC India; Bhaskar Sharma, VP, Unilever Singapore; Dr S Chandrashekhar, VP HR, Capgemini India. Globuzz is an event that receives great appreciation in equal measure from the academic world and sectors across the corporate world. Its main objective is to provide a platform for students to interact with industry experts and gain a deeper understanding of issues affecting the business world today. Globuzz-2008 was organised with the theme of 'Global Paradigm: Collaboration & Competition', and proved to be a one of its kind with distinguished speakers and stalwarts from across industries. These speakers put forth their perspectives on the issues and prospects of business with respect to Indian firms embarking on a global pathway. The speakers included Mr Shashi Ruia, Chairman Essar Group; Mr Ambi Parameswaran, ED & CEO, FCB Ulka; Mr B.R.Jaju CFO, Crompton Greaves; Mr Venkatramanan.K, Director Operations L&T; Mr Rakesh Khanna, VP-BFSI Syntel; Mr Shushant Vats Executive Director ONGC.
