INTRODUCTION: Culture influences different people by the way they do stuff.

They can take different things and adopted them to their own ways. In today world people take a lot of different things from other Cultures. They take food, dances, clothes, music, and a whole lot of other things that they want. Culture can be defined as all the ways of life including arts, beliefs and institutions of a population those are passed down from generation to generation. Culture has been called 'the way of life for an entire society.' As such, it includes codes of manners, dress, language, religion, rituals, norms of behavior such as law and morality, and systems of belief as well as the art." In the Confucian tradition, for example, one is taught to bring out the best in others, to observe moral principles in oneself, and not to compare others idly. Self-betterment through learning is demanded. These characteristics seem to be valued near universally. People need culture to live in the world today. Culture sets everyone apart from someone else. It's not bad to take different culture from different people you just have to learn how to do it right and not mess it up. Basically, culture is the part of every society and is the important cause of person wants and behavior. The influence of culture varies from country to country therefore have to be very careful in analyzing the culture of different groups, regions or even countries. Bangladesh has a rich, diverse culture. Its deeply rooted heritage is thoroughly reflected in its architecture, dance, literature, music, painting and clothing. The people of Bangladesh have a rich fictional legacy, with the first available form of literature being over a thousand years old. Meanwhile, there are various factors influencing the culture such as personal and psychological. The explanation of these factors is given below. Key Factors that Influence Culture: Social Class Every society possesses some form of social class which is important to the people because the behavior of people in a given social class is similar. In this way marketing activities could be tailored according to different social classes. Here we should note that social class is not only determined by income but there are various other factors as well such as: wealth, education, occupation etc.

Reference Groups Reference groups have potential in forming a person attitude or behavior. The impact of reference groups varies across products and brands. For example if the product is visible such as dress, shoes, car etc then the influence of reference groups will be high. Family Cultural behavior is strongly influenced by the member of a family. Therefore, in our country, we are trying to find the roles and influence of the husband, wife and children. If the a decision of a particular concern is influenced by wife then the concerning body will try to target the women in their advertisement. Roles and Status Each person possesses different roles and status in the society depending upon the groups, clubs, family, organization etc. to which he belongs. For example a woman is working in an organization as finance manager. Now she is playing two roles, one of finance manager and other of mother. Therefore her cultural activities will be influenced by her role and status. 3. Personal Factors Personal factors can also affect the people behavior. Some of the important personal factors that influence the cultural behavior are: lifestyle, economic situation, occupation, age, personality and self concept. Age Age and life-cycle have potential impact on the people behavior. It is obvious that the people change the activities and services with the passage of time. Family life-cycle consists of different stages such young singles, married couples, unmarried couples etc which help marketers to develop appropriate products for each stage. Occupation The occupation of a person has significant impact on his behavior. For example a marketing manager of an organization will try to purchase business suits, whereas a low level worker in the same organization will purchase rugged work clothes.

Economic Situation People economic situation has great influence on his behavior. If the income and savings of a customer is high then he will purchase more expensive products. On the other hand, a person with low income and savings will purchase inexpensive products. Lifestyle Lifestyle of people is another import factor affecting the persons behavior. Lifestyle refers to the way a person lives in a society and is expressed by the things in his/her surroundings. Personality Personality changes from person to person, time to time and place to place. Therefore it can greatly influence the buying behavior of customers. Actually, Personality is not what one wears; rather it is the totality of behavior of a man in different circumstances. It has different characteristics such as: dominance, aggressiveness, self-confidence etc which can be useful to determine the consumer behavior for particular product or service. Motivation The level of motivation also affects the culture of the society. Every person has different needs such as physiological needs, biological needs, social needs etc. The nature of the needs is that, some of them are most pressing while others are least pressing. Therefore a need becomes a motive when it is more pressing to direct the person to seek satisfaction. Perception Selecting, organizing and interpreting information in a way to produce a meaningful experience of the world is called perception. There are three different perceptual processes which are selective attention, selective distortion and selective retention. Beliefs and Attitudes People possess specific belief and attitude towards their culture. Since such beliefs and attitudes make up brand image and affect persons behavior therefore others are interested in them.

Languages in Bangladesh The official language is Bangla, also known as Bengali. It is the first language of more than 98 percent of the population. It is written in its own script, derived from that of Sanskrit. Many people in Bangladesh also speak English and Urdu. Bangla vocabulary shows many influences. These include a strong Islamic influence seen in the greetings of "Salaam aleykum" (Peace be unto you) and "Khoda hafez" (God Bless you) and nouns from the Arab world such as "dokan" (shop), "tarikh"(date), "kolom"(pen) and "bonduk" (gun). In West Bengal the Hindu influence is greater with the use of the Hindu greeting "Namashkar". English has also had an influence on Bangla. During the days of the Raj many words of English origin such as "tebil" (table), "tiffin" (archaic in modern day English meaning snack box) entered Bangla. In more recent time the ever rising global nature of English has lead to words such as "television", "telephone", "video" and "radio" being adopted by Bangla. However, unlike India, there has never been the need for English as a lingua franca and thus Bangla is the state language of Bangladesh. Bangladeshi Culture & Society Hierarchy Bangladesh is a hierarchical society. People are respected because of their age and position. Older people are naturally viewed as wise and are granted respect. Bangladeshis expect the most senior male, by age or position, to make decisions that are in the best interest of the group. This is also valid in businesses, the majority of which will be family owned/run. Religion The majority of Bangladeshis are Muslim. However, most still very much mix this with pre-Islam folk traditions. Bangladeshis identify with the folk traditions of Bengali culture. This includes belief in shamanism and the powers of fakirs (Muslim holy men who are exorcists and faith healers), ojhaa (shamins with magical healing powers), and Bauls (religious mendicants and wandering musicians). . There is a strong tradition of music, dance, and literature that includes classical devotions of Hindu and Muslim music. Festivals

These include two Eids (one after Ramadan and one after the Hajj) Shab-e-Qadr (the night of power), Milad un-Nabi (birth date of the Prophet Muhammad) and Shab-e-Barat (the night of the fortune). Hindu influences festivals include Durga Puja and Kali Puja (community worshipping of Goddess Durga and Kali). On the whole an entire community participates in each other's religious ceremonies.

It is very popular among the Bangalees. The countryside girls are in the habit of dancing to popular folk music. Their dances require no regulations as such, just a small amount of courage and a big amount of rhythm. Popular songs like Shari and Jari are presented with the accompanying dance of both male and female performers.

Impacts of different changeable style . Another important aspect of the culture of Bangladesh is clothing. Bangladeshi woman usually wear Saris, made of the world famous and expensive, finely embroidered quilted patchwork cloth produced by the village woman. Woman will traditionally wear their hair in a twisted bun, which is called the Beni style. Hindus will traditionally wear Dhuty for religious purposes.

When a specific age range is meant, that will be clarified in the text. Divorce means that the couple has gone through the legal process of divorce and are, thus, no longer legally married. Absent father refers to those fathers who do not keep in contact with their children subsequent to a divorce. Also, the absent father does not contribute to the children's support. Inflation and retail affecting through this western culture:

Inflation is now a global phenomenon making it difficult for individual countries to shield their

economies from its impact. This global inflationary spike is linked to the sky rocketing prices of commodities, particularly of oil and food grain, but also of many other metals and foodstuff such as dairy products. In Asian countries, where the inflationary problems is acute, have been worst hit as the region is a large commodity importer. High inflation, then, is a reality that Indians will have to live with for the time being.

culture is influencing the consumers responses on the gender appearance in advertisements. The purpose of this master thesis is to understand the influence of the cultural background on consumers when they see a man or a woman appearing on advertisements. This study can be used by managers as a part of their considerations they should have when deciding communication strategies. Moreover, it can bring further understandings for students who are interested on culture and advertising. In order to accomplish this goal, I used a quantitative and a deductive scientific method. The empirical data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 40 students of Umea University. The questionnaires are given in order to find out how consumers are affected by culture towards advertisements. However, what was proved by this research is that a persons reactions towards advertisements can be influenced by the fact that this person is a man or a woman.

Popular Culture's Influence on Children's Identity Using media outlets such as movies, music, television, video games, internet, and magazines, young children and teenagers have been influenced by popular culture. The values we instill in our children can help carry them through life with a positive or negative outlook. The character, personality, and identity of a person are shaped through many different means, but with the unlimited access to anything and everything through media, children's identities are being skewed. Pop culture both positively and negatively manipulates the identities of youth in America more so then any other outside influence in history. Whether it is a positive or negative effect, is something parents, teachers and other adult family members must be aware of to help mold and shape upstanding, conscientious, and productive members of society.

music of bangladesh - modern music and western influence Bangla music in ancient times was mostly linked to prayer. Due to the immense influence of Hindu mythology, most folk songs are related to some sort of praise of the gods and their creation. Songs were associated with particular groups of people, such as fishermen, cart-drivers, hermits and so on. Most songs were based on classical themes. Modernisation of Bangla music occurred at different times and most of these modernisation processes happened independently of western influence.

Positive Effects of Immigration The United States, made up almost completely of immigrants or descendants of immigrants, may provide the best example of the benefits of immigration to the immigrant and the recipient nation. From providing valuable cultural exchanges to spurring the economy, worldwide immigration has been a blessing in many ways.

1. Cultural Exchange

Immigration can lead to an exchange of values, knowledge, expertise and perspectives. Because of immigration, people are exposed to diverse languages and cultures that are different from their own, adding to the richness of any given society.

The Economy
o

Whether immigrants make up the brains behind research and technological development or help meet a country's demand for labor, they are often seen as a boon to the economy of the recipient nation. Many immigrants represent the most intelligent, hard-working and ambitious people of their native countries. Allowing them to bring their talents and skills to another country can be enriching for immigrants and the recipient nation. In addition, immigrants add to the country's consumer base, helping the economy.

Fighting Poverty
o

While some believe that the jobs and wealth of a country are its own private property, others believe immigration is a key to opening the global market and spreading wealth into less-developed countries. Thus, immigration can be viewed as a valuable tool in combating world poverty.

Keeping it Legal
o

Allowing for a steady flow of legal immigration minimizes the incentive for illegal immigration. By reducing or cutting off the flow of legal immigration, illegal immigration becomes more commonplace, leading to a range of problems from creating a drain on taxpayer services to an increase in crime rates.

Positive Image
o

A welcoming nation that allows for reasonable immigration and treats immigrants fairly will more likely be known for such virtues and respected throughout the world.

The positive and negative aspects of diversity Diversity is the spice of life, or so the old saying goes, and today it is being played out for us as never before. It is true in education, in sports, in the world of business, in science, in entertainment and internationally. Although to be diverse is commendable, it has its negative connotations.

Education: It is in school where diversity is first met and it is what makes this new experience such an adventure and at the same time it is what makes it frightening and problematic. Steadily it is becoming more of a problem but as the world of education strives to prepare their teachers in how to work with a classroom where approximately one out of every four is culturally diverse, these will diminish.

The Impact of Family Planning and Reproductive Health on Women's Historically, social science research associated with family planning has focused on predicting contraceptive use or non-use. Because most modern contraceptive methods are designed for use by women, and because most programs assume that women are primarily responsible for family planning, women have been the primary subjects of contraceptive and family planning research. Critics of past family planning policies have challenged researchers to enlarge their vision and to focus on women's perceptions and experiences with family planning, women's reproductive health needs and the effect family planning use has had on their lives. The Village Phone's Impact on Poverty Reduction The degree of empowerment of a woman with regards to micro-credit has been closely linked - among other factors - to the extent to which she controls the loan (Goetz and Sen Gupta, 1999; Hashemi et.al., 1996). In some cases, where the loan is provided as cash and the husband becomes the main decisionmaker on the use of the money, negative consequences have been reported in the literature in terms of increased indebtedness and family violence. In such circumstances, the woman was seen as taking on the transaction cost of lending to men (Goetz and Sen Gupta, 1996; Rahman, 1999). In the case of the VP, we are not aware of any study that reports a comparable situation with regards to the husband taking control over the telephone.
