Case analysis = Knowledge Research Issues
Introduction:The case Knowledge Research Issues is all about the knowledge management issues there are certain issues are presented in the case as per that we have to analyze a case so before starting the analysis of the case let we first understand what actually the Research Methods Knowledge Base is it is a comprehensive web-based textbook that addresses all of the topics in a typical introductory undergraduate or graduate course in social research methods. It covers the entire research process including: formulating research questions; sampling (probability and non probability); measurement (surveys, scaling, qualitative, unobtrusive); research design (experimental and quasiexperimental); data analysis; and, writing the research paper. It also addresses the major theoretical and philosophical underpinnings of research including: the idea of validity in research; reliability of measures; and ethics. The Knowledge Base was designed to be different from the many typical commercially-available research methods texts. It uses an informal, conversational style to engage both the newcomer and the more

experienced student of research. It is a fully hyperlinked text that can be integrated easily into an existing course structure or used as a sourcebook for the experienced researcher who simply wants to browse.

knowledge assets visible. Whole of the case was moved around that key factors and it is an open handed case.

Issue presented in the case:How to provide the effect of tacit knowledge exchange without workers necessarily interacting face to face and being co-located are there aspects of face to face setting that can be replicated through virtual simulation and the rich expressive form of new such as full motion interactive video, interactive online collaborative workspaces and peripheral awareness tools for the context gathering and sense making?
1.

2. Is it possible to create an equally balanced push/pull flow of knowledge enabled by a work environment that nurtures and accelerates the expansion of knowledge?

How to find a new ways to segments, detect, represent and make visible these rich new dimension of knowledge assets that will make managing knowledge a business priority and reality in the 21st century.

Solution for the presented issues:-

Before starting the answer let we first know what is knowledge exchange it is a cooperative effort that supports the use and the development of the information and communication technology(ICT) infrastructure for higher education and research. As per the case tacit knowledge is exchanged. Its about people sharing know-how in ways that help organizations foster innovation, streamline inward and outward-facing response times, get products and services to market faster, reduce costs, increase productivity, and increase revenues. Tacit knowledge, you see, is made up of things that we know, but cannot explain. Things like driving a car or recognizing someones face. Tacit knowledgetruly tacit knowledgeis transferred through human-to-human contact: storytelling, apprenticeship, conversations around the water cooler. Tacit knowledge is transferred by people with ideas talking to other people with ideas, by people with experiences talking to other people with experiences. It is synthesized through social effort The concept of knowledge exchange isnt new. You can go back thousands of years and find master/apprentice relationships in tight-knit guilds where arcane knowledge was passed carefully from one generation to the next. If you think of each guild as a kind of corporation, it is clear that the way in which knowledge was managed in these corporations was through a system of continuous tacit knowledge exchange. Sure, there were also endless hours of study where apprentices would peer closely at hand-lettered texts, many carefully guarded so that guild secrets would never be revealed outside the elite membership. But the primary model was not oriented around study. Study only provided the basic howto knowledge these young guild members needed. Without the tacit knowledge exchanged through apprenticeship, apprentices would never learn enough to become masters themselves. True knowledge management, then, was a blend of learning that combined both the carefully wrought explicit texts and the learned tacit experience of the

most senior guild members so at last I came to conclusion by using certain tool we definitely provide the effect of tactics knowledge without workers face to face involvement.

As per the issue the knowledge enabled by a work environmentbut there are lots of other attributes such as critical social, cultural, and technical attributes of such an environment that would make it slightly more useful and desirable addition to the workplace, and creating a balance in between push and pull flow of knowledge is very complex tax because every individual is having a different mentality culture and knowledge to some of them are always like to grab the knowledge and also by communication they maintain the flow of that knowledge but there are also some who did not like to grab the knowledge they only get the knowledge when someone insisted them to take it, so there is a proper flow balance of knowledge is presented in the organization then it is very effectively and beneficially help in organizational setting.
2.

For getting rid from this problem firstly we need to apply our creativity in a similar way to emerging knowledge field by developing the new transducer and viewing instrument that can bring to life and make visible the knowledge assets lying hidden within our businesses, we are getting better at making visible and managing entire classes of intellectual properties such as patent portfolio, trade secrets and licensing arrangements. We also beginning to devise ways to describes and make visible the expertise of our people through competency network and yellow pages the collective knowledge in communities of worker; the collective knowledge in the business processes that cross functional and organizational boundaries; the relationship knowledge with our customers and all other external parties is really present a new dimension of knowledge assets that will make managing knowledge and it is definitely be a business priority and reality in the 21st century

Learning from the case:-

There are lots of good learning is presented in the case this case learns about the importance of knowledge management, and technology to make relevant and accessible knowledge because it is a vital asset for every firm in present scenario.
