MY HOPE IS BUILT
THE SOLID ROCK
Verse 1
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus Name.
Refrain
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
Verse 2
When darkness veils His lovely face
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In evry high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil.
Verse 3
His oath, His covenant, His Blood
Support me in oer whelming oods;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
Verse 4
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
O may I then in Him be found,
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

About Todays Hymn
Born into poverty in London and raised
in a house where the Bible was not
allowed, Edward Mote heard the Gospel
somewhere and, as a teenager, accepted
Christ into his life.
One morning, he recalled, it came
into my mind, as I went to labor, to write
a hymn on the gracious experience of
a Chrisan. On his way to Hollborn, he
created the chorus, On Christ the solid
Rock I stand/All other ground is sinking
sand."
This song was rst sung to a dying
woman, who was greatly ministered
to. Following that experience, he was
convicted to print a thousand copies for
distribuon. Edward later pastored a
Bapst Church in Horsham, Sussex for
21 years.

MARK 5:1-4 (NRSV)
1
They came to the other side of the sea, to the
country of the Gerasenes.
2
And when he had
stepped out of the boat, immediately a man out
of the tombs with an unclean spirit met him.
3
He
lived among the tombs; and no one could restrain
him any more, even with a chain;
4
for he had of-
ten been restrained with shackles and chains, but
the chains he wrenched apart, and the shackles he
broke in pieces; and no one had the strength to
subdue him.
11:00 A.M.
MARK 5:1-9 (NRSV)
1
They came to the other side of the sea, to the
country of the Gerasenes.
2
And when he had
stepped out of the boat, immediately a man out
of the tombs with an unclean spirit met him.
3
He
lived among the tombs; and no one could restrain
him any more, even with a chain;
4
for he had of-
ten been restrained with shackles and chains, but
the chains he wrenched apart, and the shackles
he broke in pieces; and no one had the strength
to subdue him.
5
Night and day among the tombs
and on the mountains he was always howling and
bruising himself with stones.
6
When he saw Jesus
from a distance, he ran and bowed down before
him;
7
and he shouted at the top of his voice, What
have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most
High God? I adjure you by God, do not torment
me.
8
For he had said to him, Come out of the
man, you unclean spirit!
9
Then Jesus asked him,
What is your name? He replied, My name is Le-
gion; for we are many.
6:00 P.M.
MARK 5:11-20 (NRSV)
11
Now there on the hillside a great herd of swine
was feeding;
12
and the unclean spirits begged him,
Send us into the swine; let us enter them.
13
So
he gave them permission. And the unclean spirits
came out and entered the swine; and the herd,
numbering about two thousand, rushed down the
steep bank into the sea, and were drowned in the
sea.
14
The swineherds ran o and told it in the city
and in the country. Then people came to see what
it was that had happened.
15
They came to Jesus and saw the demoniac sit-
ng there, clothed and in his right mind, the very
man who had had the legion; and they were afraid.
16
Those who had seen what had happened to the
demoniac and to the swine reported it.
17
Then they
began to beg Jesus to leave their neighborhood.
18
As he was ge ng into the boat, the man who had
been possessed by demons begged him that he
might be with him.
19
But Jesus refused, and said to
him, Go home to your friends, and tell them how
much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy
he has shown you.
20
And he went away and began
to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had
done for him; and everyone was amazed.

our Next generaon to take our community to the Next level.
Levicus 25:1 - 13 (NIV), Luke 4:18 - 19 (KJV)
January Levicus: 25:10
10
Consecrate the ieth year and proclaim
liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants.
It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to
return to your family property and to your own
clan.

The LORD said to Moses at Mount Sinai,
March Levicus 25:2

Speak to the Israelites and say to them: When
you enter the land I am going to give you, the
land itself must observe a sabbath to the LORD.
April Levicus 25:3
3
For six years sow your elds, and for six years
prune your vineyards and gather their crops.
May Levicus 25:4-5
4
But in the seventh year the land is to have a
year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the LORD. Do
not sow your elds or prune your vineyards.
5
Do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the
grapes of your untended vines. The land is to
have a year of rest.
June Luke 4:18-19
18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he
hath anointed me to preach the gospel
to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-
hearted, to preach deliverance to the capves,
and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at
liberty them that are bruised,
19
To preach the
acceptable year of the Lord.
July Levicus 25:6-7
6
Whatever the land yields during the sabbath
year will be food for youfor yourself, your
male and female servants, and the hired worker
and temporary resident who live among you,
7

as well as for your livestock and the wild animals
in your land. Whatever the land produces may
be eaten.
August Levicus 25:8
8
Count o seven sabbath yearsseven mes
seven yearsso that the seven sabbath years
amount to a period of forty-nine years.
September Levicus 25:9
9
Then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on
the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day
of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout
your land.
October Levicus: 25:11-12
11
The ieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do
not sow and do not reap what grows of itself or
harvest the untended vines.
12
For it is a jubilee
and is to be holy for you; eat only what is taken
directly from the elds.
November Levicus 25:13
13
In this Year of Jubilee everyone is to return to
their own property.
December Levicus: 25:10
10
