PRESS RELEASE IAO grants Candidacy Status to Jaipur National University( www.jnujaipur.ac.in )
25th July 2011, New Delhi, India: IAO is glad to announce that the
accreditation committee has recommended Candidacy Status to Jaipur National University Jaipur in the light of its overall contributions to academics, research, consulting, MDPs, EDPs, FDPs and splendid Placement Track Record and the various evidences provided by Jaipur National University Group and their overall process compliance of International Accreditation Organization i.e. IAO (www.iao.org) The accreditation process was initiated with the process of application followed by submission of the required information and other annexures required for the accreditation process. The detailed review, report and recommendations along with recommendations of various other members of the accreditation committtee was forearded for awarding Candidacy Status to Jaipur National University. Jaipur National University. Jaipur National University saw its genesis on October 22, 2007, which was a historic day for Mahima Shiksha Samiti, the Sponsoring Body of the Jaipur National University, and for the Seedling Institutions of Higher Education, when the Government of Rajasthan announced the establishment of the University. Within a few months, after its formation, the University got approvals and recognition from all statutory national bodies, including the University Grants Commission (UGC), under the clause 2(f) of its Act of 1956. The School of Distance Education and Learning of the University has also been recognized and approved by the Distance Education Council and the Joint Committee of the UGC-AICTE- DEC for offering certain programmes through Distance Education Mode. Besides these mandatory recognitions, the University has earned trust and goodwill of the aspiring students, parents,

public and concerned agencies, based on excellence in teaching and sincere emphasis on high standards of research. Jaipur National University aims to meet the demands of knowledge and learning of life-skills with a difference. Knowledge savvy studies, semester system, ongoing evaluation, advisory system, functional research, integrated dual and joint degree programmes are its salient features. Admissions are offered based on the performance in the Entrance Test, Merit and Interview. The University has demonstrated high standards of teaching and research. They are also seriously engaged in the process of opening of offshore centers at Bangkok, Singapore and Dubai. The principle of limit does not apply to education. It is not only universal; it is also a desirable means of enlightenment and liberation.
