Auto-Tune Evo 6.

07 VST OS X Notes
Thank you for purchasing or evaluating Auto-Tune Evo VST for Mac OS X. While the Owner's Manual contains all the platform-independent information you'll need to get the full benet of Auto-Tune Evo (and we really encourage you to read it), this le includes specic installation and use issues unique to the VST OS X version. INSTALLATION The Auto-Tune Evo VST installer will automatically install the plug-in in the correct location, and no reboot of the computer will be necessary. AUTHORIZATION Authorization is the process by which this software is allowed to run on your computer. Detailed instructions covering the available authorization options will be found in the the le Authorization Read Me which is included on the installation CD ROM or with your software download. NOTE: When initially installed, this software will run for ten days without authorization. So even if you cant authorize it right away you can still use your software in the meantime. (During this period, click the Continue button whenever you are presented with the Trial Period screen at launch.) But dont procrastinate too long. After those ten days are up, you will no longer be able to launch this software until its authorized. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE It is critical to note that Auto-Tune Evo will NOT open sessions created with Auto-Tune 5 or earlier. The improvements made to the core technology are so extensive that it just won't work. For that reason, we have congured AutoTune Evo such that it and Auto-Tune 5 can be active in your DAW simultaneously.Furthermore, your Auto-Tune Evo authorization includes a linked authorization for Auto-Tune 5. However, its also important to note that we will not be releasing future updates to Auto-Tune 5, so it is inevitable that between computer OS advancements and host updates, Auto-Tune 5 will eventually stop working.

If you have current saved sessions with instances of Auto-Tune 5 that you may need to access into the indenite future, we offer the following suggestions: If you are satised with the current Auto-Tune 5 settings, use whatever method your host offers (bouncing, ofine editing, etc.) to permanently render the corrected tracks. If you believe you will need to keep editing into the future, remove the instances of Auto-Tune 5 and replace them with instances of Auto-Tune Evo. WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 6.06 Added a new Options dialog checkbox to turn on or off the display of the Output Pitch Curve (i.e., the green curve). Added the ability to assign a key to toggle this state in the Key Binding options.2 Disabled auto-scrolling in Graphical Mode while using one of the graphical editing tools (e.g., drawing a curve by hand). Added the following settings to the saved session data: undo stack and zoom state in Graphical Mode. Restored proper Tab key behavior in the Options dialog window. Fixed a problem with the generation of Sawtooth vibrato, where the result in Automatic Mode differed from the result of Importing Auto in Graphical Mode. USE CUBASE 4.13 OR LATER There is a possible hang when loading a saved session on some earlier versions of Cubase. This problem was corrected in Cubase 4.13. So you should update to the latest version. Really. INTERNAL CLOCK FOR OFFLINE PROCESSING In Cubase and Nuendo, you must select Internal Clock when using Graphical Mode in ofine processing. GRAPHICAL MODE CURSORS WITH MULTIPLE OPEN WINDOWS Due to a peculiarity in the way Cubase and Nuendo manage window priority, if you have multiple overlapping Auto-Tune Evo windows open simultaneously and at least one of them is set to Graphical Mode, you may see ashing Graphical Mode cursors appearing in unlikely places. The easiest way to deal with this is

just not overlap multiple windows (i.e., "Don't do that."). You may also opt to turn off custom cursors in the Options dialog for each open instance. MODIFIER KEYS The following modier keys are active in Auto-Tune Evo in various VST hosts: Shift - Toggles Snap-To-Note state in Graphical Mode. Toggles Momentary state in Automatic Mode. Option - Allows free movement of correction curves in Graphical Mode. Toggles Magnifying Glass function (+/-) in Graphical Mode. Delete - Deletes the most recent line segment when using the Line Tool 1 - 0 - Assignable keyboard shortcuts (QWERTY keys only) Command (Apple) - Cut, Copy, Paste, Undo and Redo are all available Note: Due to Ableton Live's handling of keyboard input, the use of number keys for Graphical Mode function selection does not function in that host.
