About Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam : Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (Womens University) was founded in the year 1983 by Sri N. T. Rama Rao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, with the fervent desire to train women students as better builders of the Nation and to inculcate skills of leadership in all aspects of life. The University was established under the Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam Act of 1983,which has come into force on the 14 of April 1983. SPMVV has an excellent team of highly qualified faculty with dedicated teaching, research and industrial experience. About the Department of Business Management: The department of Business Management was established in 1996 and offers an outstanding regular two year full time Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Ph.D Programme. Its academic programmes are designed to develop professional excellence in management concepts and skills as relevant to the emerging scenarios of economic liberalization, international business, and information technology. The program was initiated with a mission to produce globally competent students and researchers to set high standards in the industry and society. About the Conference The Indian economy is experiencing heightened growth momentum across sectors. Strong industrial output, robust corporate performance and growth in the services sector clearly point to the depth and dynamism of the economy. India, today, is at the top of a paradigm change in her position in the world. The economic development of any country is reflected by the progress of its various constituents of which a very important one is the countrys financial system. Financial service is the largest industry in the world in terms of earning. In India the economic reforms initiated in 1991 have paved the way for integration among various segments of the markets facilitating transmission of impulses across markets, easing liquidity management, thereby enabling more efficient resource allocation across the economy. With the reforms of financial services industry, the economy has been opened up and several significant developments have been taking place in all the segments of the financial services sector. Against this background, the Department of Business Management, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati is organizing a two day National Seminar with the following objectives. Seminar Objectives: To understand the ever changing scenario of Financial Services sector in general and with specific reference to India, in particular. To identify the emerging areas thereof and to explore the opportunities and challenges in financial Services sector. To identify the impact of Information Technology on financial service industry. To discuss and debate the issues, implications in the wake of globalization and economic reforms with respect to financial services sector.

Guidelines for full paper submission : The following are the guidelines for the authors to submit the full-length paper Objectives Introduction Research approach/Methodology Findings Conclusions

The authors are requested to submit a soft-copy of full paper. The paper should not be of more than 4000 words with an abstract of about 400 words. It must be in MS word format, Times New Roman, 12 font with double line space. All papers will be subjected to review and selected papers will be published in the form of edited book. Authors are requested to send their papers to nsbv.spmvv@yahoo.com as an email attachment. Selected papers will be published in the Seminar proceedings on an additional payment.
