In the United States, key human rights laws include the Convention Against Torture, the War Crimes Act, and the Alien Tort Claims Act. Internationally, treaties such as the International Covenant for Civil and Political Rights and the Geneva Conventions provide major denitions of human rights norms. United Nations experience.
