Selection Criteria
Anterior Teeth
Ivoclar Vivadent anterior teeth are categorized into square, tapering, and ovoid shapes. Although these are only general descriptions, there are certain characteristics that can be ascribed to each category. However, it should be noted that each mould has its own individual character and should be viewed in the context of a complete set rather than focusing only on this one set of criteria. Layers Anterior Teeth

Square tooth moulds With this angular shape, the central incisor is dominant. The gingivo-incisal curvature is moderate and the residual ridge is markedly square, indicating a normal bite.

Triangular tooth moulds This group is characterized by teeth having a rejuvenating crown which tapers towards the cervical ridge. The gingivo-incisal curvature is moderate. The large central incisor has an attractive, slightly triangular shape. The residual ridge is also triangular, sometimes indicating a crossbite.

Oval tooth moulds The teeth of this category have a pronounced gingivoincisal curvature. The oval residual ridge often indicates an overbite.

PE stand for Pearl Effect. PE teeth have a fourth layer that adds a bluish iridescent effect which increases light reection and creates a more natural appearance.

Posterior Teeth
This tooth selection chart facilitates the selection of corresponding sizes to match the selection anterior teeth. Ivoclar Vivadent offers a variety of posterior occlusal options, which give the clinician the opportunity to select a tooth form that will best meet the functional and esthetic needs of the patient.

N-type mould for normal bite With normal bite types (according to Angle, Class I), the intervestibular line of the anterior prole curve is perpendicular to the occlusal plane. For these patients, Ntype moulds are to be used. They are available in ve different sizes.

T-type mould for overbite In the rehabilitation of a deep overbite (distal bite, Class II), the receding mandible contrasts with the protruding maxilla. The overbite requires posteriors with steep cusp inclination. For that reason, T-type moulds should be selected. They are available in two sizes.

K-type mould for crossbite In a crossbite situation (Class III), a protruding mandible results in the intervestibular line forming a relatively acute angle in relation to the occlusal plane. Ktype moulds are thus indicated, as their inclination is relatively at. They are also available in two sizes.

SR Postaris DCL SR Postaris DCL is the exquisite posterior tooth for complete dentures, but particularly for partial dentures. The natural occlusal scheme allows the patient excellent mastication, supports functional movements and offers the user a large range of set-up concepts.

SR Ortholingual DCL The new SR Ortholingual DCL posterior tooth combines aesthetics, functional occlusion, and excellent abrasion behaviour. SR Ortholingual DCL offers an easy and functional setup concept, particularly for the lingualized set-up theory.

SR Orthoplane DCL SR Orthoplane DCL is the 0 posterior tooth, the main feature of which is the simple occlusal anatomy. It is particularly suitable for geroprosthodontics. The special morphology offers the patient maximum occlusal scope and reduces time when grinding the teeth during treatment.

Formen Es steht eine Formenpalette von Ivostar-Frontzhnen in 15 Oberkiefer- und 6 Unterkieferformen zur Verfgung. Die Frontzhne unterscheiden sich als dreieckige, quadratische und ovale Formen sortiert von klein bis gross. Die Gnathostar-Seitenzhne beinhalten 5 obere und 5 untere Zahngrssen. Farben Der Chromascop, Farbschlssel basiert auf 20 Zahnfarben, welche auf bewhrte Ivoclar Vivadent Dentinfarben aufgebaut sind. Somit ist der Chromascop der Farbschlssel fr smtliche prothetische Restaurationen in IPS d. SIGN, IPS Empress sowie fr die gesamte Partial- und Totalprothetik. Zustzlich sind die Formen auch in AD- und Bleach Farben erhltlich. Schichtung Ivostar/Gnathostar sind Mehrschichtzhne und adaptieren durch ihre harmonische Schichtung die Natrlichkeit des Originals.

The anteriors come in three schapes: triangular, rectangular, and oval arranged from small to large. Shades The Chromascop shade guide comprises 20 shades based on the tried and tested Ivoclar Vivadent dentin shades. The Chromascop is therefore the shade guide for all prosthetic restorations for Ivoclar Vivadent metal-free ceramics, for IPS Empress, as well as for partial and complete dentures. Also moulds are available in AD- and Bleach shades. Layering Harmonized layering gives Ivostar/Gnathostar teeth the natural appearance of the original tooth.

Zur Auswahl gibt es mehrere Methoden, zu der Kopfform, Krperbau sowie feminine oder maskuline Erscheinung herangezogen werden. Zustzlich kann man jedoch, wenn Informationen ber Grsse, Form und Stellung der Zhne gnzlich fehlen, aus der Oberkieferform Anhaltspunkte gewinnen. Aus der grossen Zahl von Oberkieferformen kann man grundstzlich drei Formentypen ableiten. quadratische dreieckige ovale Ordnet man die Ivoclar Vivadent Frontzhne in ihrer anatomischen Erscheinung diesen drei Grundformen zu, ergibt sich folgende Einteilung. Die Auswahl der unteren Ivoclar Vivadent Frontzhne erfolgt mit Hilfe der Kombinationstabelle. Die Zahnfarben sind in 5 Farbgruppen unterteilt und numerisch nach Farbintensitt chromatisch angeordnet. Der Chromascop Farbschlssel indiziert sich als einheitlicher Farbstandard fr die gesamte Ivoclar Vivadent Produktepalette. Criteria for Selection

There are numerous methods employed in the selection of teeth, based on such criteria as the shape of the head, bodily structure, and male or female characteristics. Even if no information is available on the size, shape, and position of the teeth, valuable points of reference can be obtained from the form of the maxilla. From the vast range of maxillary forms identiable, three basic types can be inferred: square triangular oval If these three forms are used to group Ivoclar Vivadent teeth according to their anatomic characteristics, the following classication results. The selection of the lower Ivoclar Vivadent anteriors is done with help of the combination chart (mould cart).

31, 32, 33, 34, 35. Diese Zahngruppe ist geprgt durch Zhne mit schlankem, sich nach zervikal verjngendem Kronenverlauf. Die vertikale Labialkrmmung ist mittelmssig stark ausgeprgt. Der grosse Schneidezahn hat eine gefllige, leicht dreieckige Form. Der Kieferkammverlauf ist ebenfalls dreieckig und weist im Wesentlichen auf Kreuzbissverhltnisse hin. 31, 32, 33, 34, 35. 41, 42, 43, 44, 45. Die Formen sind eher eckig und der zentrale Schneidezahn hat eine relativ dominante Erscheinung. Die vertikale labiale Krmmung zeigt einen gemssigten Verlauf. Der Kieferkammverlauf ist betont eckig und zeigt Tendenzen fr einen Normalbissfall. 41, 42, 43, 44, 45. These molds are basically quadrilateral and the central incisor relatively dominant. 01, 02, 03, 04, 05. Das anatomische Erscheinungsbild dieser Gruppe zeigt starke Krmmungsmerkmale. Dies zeigt sich vor allem in einer ausgeprgten Labialkrmmung. Der ovale Kieferkammverlauf ist oft bei Tiefbissfllen zu nden. 01, 02, 03, 04, 05. These groups are anatomically characterized by pronounced gingivo-incisal curvature.
