Cadbury Beverages, Inc: Crush Brand Cadbury Beverages is a beverage division of Cadbury Schweppes PLC.

Cadbury Schweppes PLC was created in 1969 when Schweppes PLC (the worlds first soft-drink maker) and Cadbury (a major British confectionary manufacturer) merged. In 1989, beverages accounted for 60 percent of the Companys sales worldwide, bringing in 53 percent of its operating income. The Carbonated Soft Drink Industry The estimated retail sales for the soft drink industry in 1989 was $34 billion. From 1969 to 1989 the number of gallons of carbonated soft drinks consumed by Americans doubled from 23 gallons to 46.7 gallons per year. The three major participants in the carbonated soft drink industry in the U.S. are concentrate producers, bottlers, and retailers. Concentrate producers manufacture basic flavors and sell them to bottlers who add sweetener to the carbonated water and package them to be sold in retail outlets.
