Recognize individuals with intermediate and advanced knowledge and qualifications. Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) New, intermediate certification Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) Existing, senior certification

-Note: Education Provider certifications will not be recognized as a substitute to IIBA certification

To Qualify for the Exams


Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)
Minimum 3,750 hours of BA work, aligned with the BABOK Guide, in the last 7 years. These hours must include either:
900 hours in 2 out of 6 BABOK Guide Knowledge Areas, OR
500 hours in 4 out of 6 BABOK Guide Knowledge Areas

Minimum 21 hours of Professional Development in the last 4 years

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)


Five years work experience in past 10 years or 7500 hours of experience Experience in 4 out of 6 knowledge areas Minimum 21 hours of Professional Development in the last 4 years

Starting Your Chapter

At this kick-off meeting, let us join hands in furnish the following activities:
Sign the Chapter Petition
Need a minimum 15 IIBA members in good standing

Identify volunteers for Chapter Select Acting President for the Chapter Identify potential candidates for Chapter board positions Identify timelines to form the Chapter board Determine next meeting logistics Q&A Session

We need to appoint an Acting President till the time Chapter Board is formed * - Time commitment is a pre requisite for any board position and approximately 20 hr/week is the
basic requirement. It might vary (normally increase) during the Charter and Startup process.

Form the Board Review Chapter bylaws
Review the Chapter bylaws to meet provisions of IIBA bylaws (chapter 6 of chapter start-up kit) Incorporate local jurisdictional rules for setting up your organization as a not-for-profit professional association Obtain a letter of assurance from a lawyer that chapter bylaws adhere to laws of jurisdiction

Agree and sign affiliation agreement Agree and sign license agreement (in process) Petition IIBA for Chapter recognition Submit the documents to IIBA for Chapter to be chartered
